It's been a lot of years since I checked out the street SW scene in Kelowna. How is it now?

Agreed!!! I love it. It’s been a few years now since I’ve really dabbled in it, but oh man some good times have been had right in Kelowna with some sweet things over the years.
I was downtown a bit yesterday and had a few nods from some potentials, but was on foot.
Seems to be a bit quieter than it used to be, that’s for sure. And I did see a few potentials yesterday. I think there’s some still action going on from what I can tell. Downtown, Leon and Richter area.
Blame technology.
...without smartphones, girls would be lining up every street in the downtown core. They probably make more off webcamming for digital rupees from 2nd or 3rd worlders than they would competing for a piece of a street corner. Only other hope is the off chance you run into someone 'that' desperate they need cash now for their hourly fix... or their antibiotics.
Being glib put aside, it's just the sign of the times... it's more effective to sift through all the scams in various classifieds websites while at home, then wasting a tank of gas zig-zagging through the downtown core, from Leon, Lawrence, Bernard, and Doyle... and hoping a trashy looking girl is open for business, it's a total crapshoot these days.
