My guess there are two types.

If it is an older male, it's the result of years of learned helplessness. They fuck up or ask enough, someone will hand them the answers.

If it is a younger male, it's learned questioning from AI. They're completely used to an intermediary retrieving, digesting and presenting answers to any questions they might have.

I wonder whether learning how to use forums is hard for most people? I used this format for many years but I can understand if you haven't, there's a learning curve that some might not bother with.

For those who know, doing research is a hard, long process so shortcuts and diagonal reading are preferred.
