I usually provide it in an envelope and on more than one occasion, I seem to surprise the SPs with this almost like they're impressed. How else do people provide donations?

neatly folded is fine, envelope is fine, cute red envelope or card makes it look like you're trying (a good thing!), crumpled is also fine but I might judge just a little
I perform my magic trick that turns a 100 bill into 2 100 bills, then 3 bills, then 4 bills. And before they know it, my underwear is on the ground.
Some of my clients feel bad when they don't have time to grab an envelope. I might scream if someone gave me crumpled bills 🤣 CRUMPLED BILLS 💀
Usually in a card/envelope, but I've also put it in gift bags/other items (like in between the sleeves of a vinyl record or in a ziplock with some pre-rolls) and point it out when I give it to them so there's no confusion and it's done and dealt with. I find it really helps everyone relax quickly bc then there's nothing left to focus on but each other.
No “rolls” of loonies from the bank ?
Could you imagine the look on someones face if you broke out the rolls of quarters from the bank ?
At least rolls are already partially counted already. Toonies at $50 a roll would still add up quick. LOOSE quarters on the other hand 😂 that would be something else

The small, correctly sized envelope is important. I keep a little box of them from the dollar store in my glovebox. I also “Customize” each one with the $$$ amount on the front.
Of course, I fun it up a bit by putting happy faces 😃 in the zeroes, or more recently, replacing the zeroes with hearts 💕. I kno, romantic huh?
Also, the envelope remains unsealed, unless she’s a multi-year relationship—then I might put the hot wax seal on the back (with initials, but not a dick print) LOL.

Neatly folded is preferred or in an envelope. I have had one client make a personalized monogrammed envelope for me which was thoughtful as well as one client making a handmade wax sealed envelope with one of my favourite animals on the inside which I have kept as it was unique and thoughtful.
As long as payment is made upfront upon meeting where it’s quickly done so we can get on to the fun part, that is ideal for me.
