I remember someone ( a very vocal someone) criticizing others for using texting apps then seeking support from the board when......

It is what it is.
Nobody deserves to be scammed
And everybody can report if they were.

By all means people can say what they want, I always like to hear both sides of the story though before I make a decision. Also list because someone allegedly got scammed one time by one person doesn’t mean no providers are trustworthy. It’s a ridiculous train of thought

Right. I would assume if she truly wanted to scam him she could have requested a higher deposit amount and knowing the provider in question who is also affiliated with a well known agency I highly doubt she was desperately in need of money that she decide to scam someone for only 100$ hahah

Sometimes common sense is not so common.
For what it's worth from a minimally active account, this specific reputable person recently kept my deposit too after she cancelled. I have some sympathy for her just in case the things she was saying were true (lots of serious personal stressors). But ultimately, it's not right for her to keep the money even if she desperately needs it.
And it's kind of weird to insult the guy for not having "common sense" when he was trying to warn others. Even if he appears whiny, his goal was to warn others which is altruistic. Similarly, I didn't want to write this at all and appear like some whiny guy, but it needed to be said.
On a positive note, I really do hope that this is brief, abnormal behaviour for her, and that things will improve for her.

I do believe if the onus is on the provider, then the deposit should be sent back. I hope everything is alright on her end, that's a terrible situation for all sides. Nobody should be 100% trusting in this industry on both sides. However, there are ways to at least 95% make sure when you send a deposit it'll not be a scam. It sounds like she wasn't exactly scamming, I'm sure if you rebook, she'd honor the previous deposit. At least I'd hope so!

Absolutely no excuse for keeping someones deposit. The amount òf money is inconsequential . Any provider that does this even once regardless of their supposed sterling reputation drops to 'disreputable' and ' avoid at all cost' in my books. And agencies and providers that make wisecracks and act like it's no big deal makes me want to avoid them too!

I’ve been scammed by dudes I’ve dated for enough for a downpayment for a condo
Was it like a final farewell kinda thing?
It's weird. The richer the person, the more ridiculous they are with money. They either throw around like there's no tomorrow, or they'll steal the toliet paper from the 3 star restaurant they just drop 10k at for the night.

No self respecting man would drop 10k at a 3 star restaurant, but that depends on if those three stars are Michelin stars or Google review stars.

Recently saw this thread - https://perb.cc/xenforo/threads/anya-jade-i-got-scammed.331820/#post-2413165, and it's made me weary about continuing being a client in this industry. A provider with legit positive reviews isn't actually that positive. There are lots of truly trustworthy providers out there I've met them but it really makes things less fun when you hear someone with a good reputation turns. It's kind of scary. Anyone else find it's getting more difficult finding providers that are trustworthy?
Not me, you stay safe though 🤭🤭🙏 sounds like a YOU problem 😅🤪

Replying here to remind others that Anya Jade has a history of scamming multiple people out of deposits. She crawled out of the woodwork and is advertising again. Alright carry on folks.
Saw the ad and looked her up here. Staying away. Thank you for your service!

If I had a dollar for every client who ripped me off including regulars who I’d seen for several years I’d probably be able to pay my rent for a month. . But I don’t assume all clients are untrustworthy. People forget that as providers we probably get ripped off way more than you guys do but you get scammed for $150 and it’s like the world is coming to an end. There are scammers on both sides of the fence in this industry and every other industry in society today. Scammers are EVERYWHERE but if you losing $150 means you distrust every single provider then it’s best to stay home with Palmala and her five friends and watch Porn. One provider doesn’t represent us all.
