Recommendation for tv

I’m looking for a new budget 4K tv, 60” - 69” size range. Can anyone recommend a dumb tv, or maybe semi-smart tv that doesn’t need internet connection to work? It doesn’t matter if it’s LED, OLED, QLED, HDR or whatever display type or colour quality. I don’t watch enough tv in a week that warrants the best picture out there.

My first choice is a real dumb tv that doesn’t need internet connection, but that is almost impossible to find these days. So the next best thing is a smart tv but will still work if it’s never connected to my network. I realize that you can block the IP and other things to prevent sending info back, but I also heard about the new tv are getting more aggressive in collecting your info and viewing habits, that if it doesn’t have network connection it simply won’t work.

Any suggestions appreciated. TIA

I am pretty sure even a 'smart' tv does not need a live internet connection - I think the amazon Fire series may try to force a connection but you that is about it. Last year I helped a female friend put in an LG smart TV but hooked it up to her Roku, did not connect the tv itself to the net and all was fine. Still is.

PN was something like UT70, 65 inch nice quality. If you are budget shopping amazon is your friend as is Visions Electronics. Quick websearch shows from about $550 and up. If that fits the budget.

Check with consumer reports (sub needed), or search with google. You can go to the stores and ask the sales people what they are like, try at least 3 different stores.
I used to check the magazine rack for stuff like PC magazine etc.

New York Times wirecutter is generally pretty great with recommendations. Prices are obv American, but they give good details and do pretty great testing.

Thanks for all the suggesions/recommendations. Yes I asked BestBuy and LD, the answers I got weren't that convincing, hence this post. Will check out Wirecutter later.

If you want to not leave the house and watch the world thru the TV get an Oled, with HDR it looks like you are there with the right videos. I once bought a high touted mini led by Samsung. Loved by critics but could not deliver once you become a fan of nicer TVs. I say spring once for a good set and be done with it and just get last year's top oled TVs. I have a LG C4 and working with the store to get me another once at clearance price.
