That sounds the same as Ontario...and I thought BC had even more exemptions afterward than Ontario has. Wonder why there was no big outcry in Ontario? Wondering if it is because there is more manufacturing in Ontario, and manufactured stuff should actually go down in price since the HST nets out...

I'm not from BC so I guess I don't understand. You had PST and GST and then they combined them and now you have HST - which is the same rate as the 2 combined...but you want to go back to 2 separate taxes?

My opinion...this is no solution. They just take your money. But if you believe in it that won't matter to you...and if you believe in it enough it may even help you. But much cheaper to just believe in yourself and save your money.
