Churchill is the worst for a military base. Not even close to the NW passage. The NW passage there are 4-5 routes to take. Still lots of hazards where it looks like open waters. Pretty easy to make a deep water port in the Arctic, use lots of C4....dredge, and put in Roman cement barriers...
