I have to admit that he's actually kind of mildly entertaining, in a sick & twisted way, once you realize that he is just a TROLL with a specific agenda (namely Prostitute Hating). I was especially amused by the posts where he refers to SPs as "its" & talks about our "owners"

You have to know that he is the sort of tortured soul that sees an sp, then goes home, sits in a dark corner and rocks back and forth in a self-loathing downer. Agreed.... either that, or Vybe is actually a woman who hates SPs for whatever personal reason, and hopes by some magical means all us customers will stop seeing them, and all the "Prostitutes" as he/she puts it, will find some other career...

it is useful to remember that there is a physical aspect to this work just like there is to many other professions. Sooner or later every athlete is too old to compete and it's usually wise to have a plan for what comes next.

Prostitutes do pay taxes. Last time I looked, when you buy something and pay GST/PST, there is no "prostitute exempt" option. Also, prostitutes do have basic job skills. Example = advertising, people skills, time management.

Again, please provide an example of these "horrific" experiences you are talking about. Could you post a link to one of the many scholarly articles that are available to view on this topic?
Can you provide a link to a therapist who has dealt with this kind of problem before? That might help the thousands of girls who are clearly struggling to deal with this epidemic.

Melissa Farley. Just as I thought.
She has been repeatedly criticized for inconsistent methodology and extrapolation of results. Basically, she takes a sample of street workers seeking exit from the industry - the most disadvantaged subgroup - and says that's true for the rest of the industry. She is well known for simply ignoring any criticism and opposition of her conclusions.
The amount of damage this woman's so-called "research" did to the sex worker rights movement through all the misinformation she's spewing is staggering. Since her views fit the stereotypes, her conclusions tend to be accepted by general public without questioning.

Very relevant or reliable sources, Vybe. I don't know how well you apply critical thinking in other areas of your life, but you clearly have no desire to do so here. The scientific method and peer-review research, among everything else, is about critical evaluation of methodology and biases of studies or experiments. Something that's lacking here.
Researchers and activists who acknowledge complexity of sex work do not deny that darker sides of it exist. But the people who see it all as harmful do deny the existence of positives even when they scream in their faces. I watched enough of such debates to make me sick...

There is no typical prostitute any more than there is a typical accountant, lawyer or preacher. There is a huge variation in motivation, talent and income. For a man to imagine he knows what it would be like to be a hooker is arrogant in the extreme unless he's been on the street sucking cock for a living. For us to claim we understand anything about how they feel, what their hopes and dreams are and whether they do or don't enjoy being used as a sperm receptacle is incomprehensible to me.
