When I used to work at the boys and girls club the oilers would stop by and play pickup hockey with the kids. Most of the players were rather boring personality wise, which isn't really surprising I don't think. Connor Mcdavid was really nice with the kids, they mobbed him and yelled at him but he was extremely patient with them. Nothing really memorable though.

Sure enough, I went there and he was in uniform, low key, tossing a ball around and cracking jokes...

Saw William Peterson on Granville. Most know him from CSI, but I first saw him in To Live and Die in LA.
Lisa Rinna on Robson st. Never thought she was good looking on 90210, but she was gorgeous in real life.
Fred something (Remo Williams, the adventure begins) on a plane to LA.
Richard Pryor, stuck in traffic in LA and we had a brief conversation.

Fiona Forbes- funny she's mentioned. She almost hit me with her car coming from back lane between buildings, me on the sidewalk. I wonder, maybe it would had been better if she hit me? LOL I wouldn't mind her checking on me later. But I had Diny Petty, a Toronto anchor, ram into my car from the back. She gave her business card and the shop took care of it. Just a bumper.

I didn't know Michael Bubble was a devil ...
But mentioning Gates, I did meet him. Toronto, November or so 1988. He was talking about Windows. Crowd was maybe 100 in a ballroom can't remember the hotel. I do remember him stating that software was so far ahead of the hardware and that they had a lot of things going on that were really on the cutting edge. Met him after the talk - really nerdy guy, very nice. Man, who knew!!
"The devil's name" wrote such fascinating reviews of his exploits. I bet I am not the only long-term member who misses his exploits.
Pavol Demitra when he was with the Canucks in 2008ish. Came into my store with his wife and 2 young kids looking for hockey skates and other random sporting goods for them. He was a super nice, seemed like a down-to earth family guy and we were able to share a few chuckles with him while his kids played in the store. It was pretty heartbreaking for me and my coworkers to hear about his death a couple of years later when the plane carrrying him and his entire KHL hockey team crashed. I still think back to those 2 young kids and his wife.

Airline screwed up my flight diverted me thru LAX with a 2 hr layover went for a stroll away from the crowd to isolated stairwell and noticed a limo at entrance with 2-3 bodyguards headsets on I hear an announcement last call for Minnesota St Paul bodyguards run up stairwell radio back all clear and out he comes strolls past me about 4 feet away nods say hello and gone guess who ?
