Back in 2016, I had my eye on one of the very popular Asian providers from one of the popular agencies downtown ($300+). Don't want to call out the girl or group so will use miss X. It took me a while to organize as I prefere to be the first client of the day. After some back and forth, I landed a first clent during a lunch time slot. Made my way to the downtown location, got buzzed up, found the room and knocked. The door slowly opened and walk in, see miss X, her face looks like my sisters! I literally say "s$#@ you remind me of my sister!". I politely explained that I would not be able to continue the session and reiterate why. Miss X had some choice words about wasting her time and that I should still pay for the session. At this point I figure it's just the to leave, so I exit and go about my day.

Flash to a few weeks later, the agency has a different girl working and I text asking for availability and some minor questions. Then nothing, figured they were busy. Then the next time, the same, no response. Tried a few more times, then finally realised that I have been added to the blocked list.

In the time since then I have moved away from Vancouver and back, and have since gotten a new number. I recently tried the agency for the first time in a long time, I found an Asian provider that is very well reviewed and decided to bite the bullet and go for it. The same format as before, I book for first client of the day, make my way downtown to the location, buzz up and knock. I enter the room, good news she doesn't look like my sister. Bad news she doesn't look anything like the pictures and I immediately want to walk. But then i remember getting blocked for walking last time and just go with it. Had a not great session, don't get me wrong the service was good, was just not what I was looking for.

Has anyone else been in the same situation where they went through with a session to not upset an agency?

It’s not in any way her fault that she looks like your sister. You should have paid her and walked. You wasted HER time because of an issue YOU had.

makes sense you’d be blacklisted.

@Charlee, that is a totally a valid point. It was totally my issue.

In saying this, I have been on the receiving end of a similar situation (in a different country) and have been sent away moments after walking into a session, only to be told "no". I am average build, good hygiene, nothing special. My behaviour is always well manored and respectiful. When this happened, I figured that somehow I made her uncomfortable and let it be.

Please shoot me down if I am wrong, but shouldn't both parties be comfortable with eachother before proceeding?

If this is a thing for you, then maybe it would be better for you to go to an establishment that offers a line up.. Otherwise you are absolutely wasting providers time, especially if you're not compensating for that wasted time.

If you order a meal at a restaurant and don’t like it because it’s not to your taste, do you refuse to pay? A simple analogy but effective here, I feel.

Also, when you are turned away, you keep your money. When we are turned away, we lose money. That comparison makes no sense

You're kind of "both sides'ing" this and that isn't quite rational. Everyone's time is valuable but when you're electing to spend your leisure time on provider services then her time is literally money, her livelihood. It's not the same thing at all. I doubt you could do this with a barber or hair stylist and not seriously piss them off either. I think you did the right thing the next time around.

The only reason I’d walk without compensating an SP would be blatant dishonesty on her part with regards to drug use, bait and switch or other serious indiscretions. This has never happened to me in town because I only see reputable providers here. Never been turned down anywhere but had my most unpleasant session with a well reviewed local. I wish she would have just turned me away, but we both went through with it and YMMV.

Seems normal to me. We blacklist if you walk. Cut and dry. No shows can also get you on the naughty list.

Your impacting the income of the girl by taking up time in her schedule that could have been given to an actual customer.

Please don't knock.

The same could be said about bargaining. That's also super annoying. If you can't afford the steak, just order mac and cheese.

Unpopular opinion incoming:

I'm a business owner, and customers walk all the time; not frequently (thankfully) but regularly. Sometimes my workers get mad, as it costs them (and me) money, but that's the cost of doing business. My business falls under the sales&service umbrella, similar to escorting in that respect.

A restaurant & barber shop were mentioned in the comments as well - I worked in a restaurant in my 20's, and when people didn't like their food, the bill was comp'd (taken care of). Obviously if there was something wrong with it, but also if they just didn't like it. Again, cost of doing business.

I have no personal experience with barber shops in this regard, but I sure have had girlfriends in the past go back when they weren't happy, and they were always taken care of as well, and yes that included money back on at least one occasion that I recall.

It seems like most people involved with this hobby (at least on perb) feel it should be different for the women working, but I can't understand why that is. I mean, it's obvious from the SP's end why they feel as they do, since nobody likes losing money, but from our end? Maybe it's the natural protective inclination of men towards women, or idk.

Everyone's time is literally money when they're working. SP's are by no means unique in that regard. Hourly workers are protected somewhat (eg in a restaurant, I the waiter didn't lose money when a guest walked, but the business did) however SP's I would suggest are more akin to independent contractors rather than hourly workers, and enjoy the pro's & con's similarly, including lost money when they lose a contract, whether it's due to some fault of their own, or not.

In my view, every business is unique, as is escorting, however they are all still businesses, and just as every business has the right to refuse service, every customer has the right to walk away.

When you walk, the provider hasn't lost that time - not all of it. They have what's left to do what they please. Maybe they contact a later booking, or get someone calling for a short notice booking, or maybe they take lunch, or maybe they do nothing. It doesn't matter what they do with their time, it's still theirs. And if they do lose a few bucks on that hour (or portion thereof)? That's the cost of doing business.

I've lost count. Dozens. Pay up, or go through a session regardless of your reasons for changing your mind. If she gives you the worst bj of your life and leaves teeth marks, tell her it was awesome, just what you were looking for, then report back your reality, and consider it community service.

A cautionary tale: I had a very bad experience doing exactly what you describe...
I was a customer of 6456 for some years and always had a great time, until I had one bad date with Brooklyn.
Just as you suggest, I was polite all the way through, but then left a somewhat candid and honest (but respectful and polite) review, which you can read for yourself by following the link if you wish.
Subsequently, the agency managed to figure out whom it was, and called me back at the number I'd booked from. While they were polite enough, what resulted was: not only was I blocked from using their services in the future, but they contacted PERB and, according to the mods, told them that I had been harassing their girls and so on, a bold-faced lie. I was then placed in the awkward position of having to defend myself against their false accusations (which was fortunately easy to do with the truth on my side), and notably, one of the things they levied against me in the back & forth with them and the mods was: that I was very nice and never raised any complaints with the girl at the time.

I get that there is little reason to raise complaint at the time, when you're not likely to get any refund or compensation and then have to deal with a potentially awful date, but even just reviewing later on can have repercussions, as detailed above. Hopefully this doesn't happen to any of you, but when I see the suggestion to suck it up and review later as community service, I feel relating an experience like I had is worth mentioning. I haven't really posted any more reviews since that time- that was my solution.
Good luck and stay safe out there!

So we're supposed to get another client within 5 minutes? Don't think so.

If you walked out on a restaurant after the food arrived because you didn't like the way the food looked, this is "the cost of doing business"?

Just like you say a client can choose who they want to see, an SP or an Agency can also choose who they allow to book. I can understand if someone is using fake pics etc... but when your meal arrives and its exactly as the photo in the menu... walking (or haggling) is a dick move and gets you straight on the blacklist. No other business would this be acceptable, but for some reason when it's man vs woman some people think it's ok. I think that's bullshit.

If you were deceived somehow, that's a different story.

First, yes I stated clearly that any & every business has the right to refuse service, be it a restaurant or Asian Fever or gas station or whatever, for any reason, and you don't need to explain yourselves if you don't want to. I'm a business owner, same as you.

As for your restaurant analogy, maybe not solely on the way a meal looked, but if a customer says, "hey, I know I ordered this, but after two bites I just really don't like it, I'm sorry it's not your fault, but there's some spice or something that I just don't like" what do you say? "Fuck you, pay me"? Of course not. No restaurant lists every ingredient on every dish in the menu, what if it has oregano and the person really doesn't like oregano? Does it make him a dick for saying so? No, it doesn't, and people do it all the time.

Now substitute oregano for, oh, I dunno, a face that looks like just your sister, for example. Or strong tobacco breath. Or whatever. This are the ingredients not listed on the menu I was referring to. Or maybe the photo was photoshopped and the girl looks 10 years younger in the ad, which also lists her as young when she is not. Or she's 15kg heavier. One might say "nearly everyone does that", and perhaps they do, but that doesn't stop a customer from potentially feeling deceived.

(nearly) Everyone who sends a meal back at a restaurant feels they have a good reason for doing so, even if the meal is exactly as advertised; nobody sends back a great tasting plate of food when they're hungry. Somehow, there's a problem where despite their hunger, they can't eat the food. Similarly, nobody gets horny, calls up an escort, goes to her place, sees a girl they're attracted to and just walks. They're not attracted to her for one reason or another, and trying to assign blame on "who's fault it is" isn't going to change that. So what should a guy do? Kinda hard for a guy at 40, 50, 60+ years old to get it up for a girl you don't even want to have sex with.

So, the consensus seems to be "pay her anyways", fine, I respect everyone is entitled to their opinion and if that's how they choose to handle it, good for them. I, however, think for myself, and I feel there's a strong case to be made that in any (and every, afaik) other industry that's not how business is conducted. In a restaurant, they might take the mall back and send another, they might refund your money, but they'll do something, and it won't be "fuck you, pay me". And yes, that often costs the business a little extra. These things happen and are common to I think every business. Again, I think your industry is the only one I'm aware of that is somehow offended by this, and it doesn't seem equitable to me.

As a business person I do get where you're coming from, I feel, and I like the way you run your business from what of it I've seen. I've used your services many times and only had good experiences, but on this, we disagree.

(BTW, Heat is such a great movie, but that's the worst scene lol. Why not DeNiro & Pacino in the coffeshop?)

Blocking should be mutual, so YOU do the blocking first because the visit was unsuccessful or unsatisfying and you have no reason to return. The girl or agency can block you, but you shouldn't care. Going back for seconds after being blocked... hmmm.

Repercussions from "bad" reviews is an issue I have experienced several times as well, where some girls don't like some or all parts of my reviews about them. Some even offer freebies for a "better" review. Miley 7012 for example (retired now, I think, I was less than complimentary on her BJ skills that other raved about, so she said the next one is on her. I didn't take her up on the freebie, but went back anyways because it was such a nice gesture, and paid for a full hour session, didn't tell her it was me the wrote up the negative review, and it was the exact same experience, even though it was separated by several years.

Another problem is the "white knights" that come to defend their favourite girl if you write up something they don't agree with and they include glowing accounts of their experience in the thread to undo the damage. (To be fair though, there are some dudes tear down nice girls as an act of revenge because they didn't get what they wanted -- THAT I have heard many stories from girls I've had a great time with.)

If you want to avoid repercussions, one way to avoid problems is to wait several months before writing negative reviews so that you can't be tied to it (See Jamie Lee and Danny for example). Keep in mind that if you are not careful, they may have your car licence number, surveillance images, email, and so on.

Waiting though, certainly does not help the next guy that gets hosed if they don't benefit from your experience. Writing more immediate reviews would mean eliminating as many specifics as possible and even changing your phone number.

A negative credible review, especially against an agency, would likely cost them several thousand dollars in lost revenue (that you would be saving grateful potential clients). That said, reporting the retaliatory response you got from that agency may possibly forwarn some guys.

A cautionary tale: I had a very bad experience doing exactly what you describe...

Well, NEbaD, "there's a flip side to that coin". Lol... had to throw that in there. You're right... great movie.

Back on topic, I agree with NEbaD. I do understand both sides of the argument. IMO, it doesn't make sense to pay for a session I didn't get. Yes, it's not the SP's fault for looking like a customer's relative. Then again, it also isn't the customer's fault that the SP looks like a family member. This is one of those situations where both parties have to be civil, professional, and put their best foot forward. The customer can explain why he can't go ahead with the encounter, and maybe offer some cancellation cash. The SP can try to be understanding of this situation, and accept the cancellation cash. If the tables were turned, and if the customer looked like the SP's family member (and therefore she decides not to go ahead with the session), how would she compensate the customer... ? But again, paying for the session when one didn't get a session, well, I can't agree with that.

Also, I'm not a restaurant guy (although I love eating in them, lol), but to my knowledge, the most successful ones have adopted a "customer is always right" mindset. We all know customers are not always right, but again, it's that service mindset that sets the better restaurants apart from the lessor. I love The Keg, and IMO, they are one of the best chains around. When something is not right there (even if it's just in my own mind), there are no if, and's, or but's there. They make it right. Period.

Can you recall one time where that involved not eating the food you ordered, walking out, and not paying the bill?

If you did that they certainly would not want you to come back again, and I think that's fair.

The only time I've ever walked, was the very first time I ever went to a provider. It was for a massage. The pics were of this very fit, young looking cutie. There were some slightly blurred face photos, but enough to get a good idea. She opens the door and she's short, a little thick and mid-40's at best. Being my first time, I wasn't sure how it would work. She invites me in, and starts to lead me to the back. I asked if the provider was in the back, she said "No, it's just me." I said "Nope, definitely not. this isn't going to work for me"

I felt bad, but I was also very nervous and very unsure to begin with and I just bolted. But this was false advertising at it's finest. She still advertises, her pics are now hers, but she's also a do not review, which is always a little suspicious.

All that being said, if you book an appointment and the provider meets all expectations, but you have your own personal issue, you should be leaving some kind of compensation for wasting their time. Big difference between that and poor service.
