Taking more creatine won't help, five grams is all most people can use. Any more and you just pee it out. There's an expression for this among true gym rats :"Gold plated urine".

Please hank, go to the iifym dot com site, don't take "weight gainers", that stuff is unhealthy at best.

GNC is notorious for overselling all their overpriced shit. NEVER buy anything there! Their sales staff will say anything to get every last dollar from you.

I love running in the morning I go almost every day as soon as I wake up
I've heard this can be a really good way to increase runner's high! Have you noticed this? I usually work out in the afternoons and I get some pretty good endorphins flowing, but I might change it to mornings if there is a big difference.

Hmm..honestly I'm not really sure. I've almost always run first thing in the mornings..except for a week or 2 last winter when I tried evenings instead. I prefer mornings cause then I feel good all day afterwards. I like to get my endorphin fix ASAP lol
Me too...that's why I love being available to early risers! LOL If you see ME running, assume something frightening is chasing me!

I thought this thread was gone.
Hows everyone making out?
I've finally gained about 10 pounds. Taking alot longer than i hoped. Interestingly i cut the weight lifting back to just once / twice a week. Added plyometrics once / twice a week alternating with lifting, 1 night of boxing, 1 of kickboxing and one of yoga. I guess my info of you have to lift and lift heavy is a little dated. I get bored with the same routine anyway and lifting heavy for me can cause more issues than it fixes.
Maybe that's the "muscle confusion" i've heard about. Who knows but it's nice to finally see and feel some results.
The only difference in my diet is a casein shake before bed.
Yoga class is over in November, going to start crossfit then. Hockey will be in full swing soon so should be a busy winter.

trying out sarms. running osterine and lgd. we'll see what happens. 6 days in and so far muscles feel denser, and pooping 3 times a day which is weird.

No idea what any of that is lol.

Has anyone tried any testosterone boosters?

And what's everyone doing about soreness and shortening recovery time?

Recovery is usually pool (right after workout or day after) since buoyancy+cardio gives you a good post-workout. Alternating btw rest and cardio days btw workouts.

DOMS is inevitable but avoid using Ibuprofen or Aspirin for recovery. stretching and using those foam roller pad helps a lot. Try to match workups with agonist/antagonist muscle groups (ex. shoulders--Chest, then next workout day would be bicep-tri, then back/legs) etc.

I wanted to try sarms, but I don't know anyone that's used it before, and at that price I don't wanna go in blind. Gonna start up on 500deca/150 enanthate for 20 weeks soon, making that push for 210

I guess im going to be unpopular.

I work with someone who's partner is a personal trainer, I think she charges 80 bucks an hour.
she runs iron man competitions one a year, has degrees in fitness up the wassoo

her opinion, and advice, open your front door and get moving.
you need not a gym member ship or any such nonsense.
walk run cycle, that should be your fitness routine, maybe a pool membership if you like to swim
you can follow that up with diet
and simple exercises in your own house. with no equipment or the bare minimum depending on budget and space.
like I said she had run iron mans one a year for years, and has more experience then all of us put together on fitness. boston marathons etc etc.

biggest thing is lifestyle and a commitment to a healthy active lifestyle

to follow this up most people with a personal trainer certificate don't have a clue what the fuck there talking about.
you can get one online or over several weekends its a joke.
they can actually give you very un healthy advice
for instance if there connected to a gym and the gym is limited in equipment, and you have special requirements
and the gym doesn't have the facilities or the equipment you require. like a pool for instance, and you should be low impact low stress. there are some very good deep water classes etc.

your personal trainer if you pay for one should have degrees from a university in kinesiology etc. so they know what the fuck there talking about.

Sign up for a class that is regularly scheduled to maintain motivation and accountability.
Have cute work out outfits that you only ever wear to the gym, which helps with motivation too.
Try a variety of classes, sports, activities etc until you find one that suits you too. Your workouts should be enjoyable, not punishing.
Take regular photos of your progress for inspiration.
Water, water, water!!!
Try an ap like moves or a fitbit to track your activity. I like MyFitnessPal for tracking calorie intake.
Find out if you prefer to work out n the morning or the evening and stick with that as they're very different.
Lastly, try a gym with lots of eyecandy. If you have trouble finding the motivation to show up, the promise of fantastic scenery will usually do the trick!
Most importantly, always HAVE FUN!!

Also, do remember that good fitness is actually 80% diet and only 20% activity. No matter how hard you try, you can never out-exercise a bad diet.
IIFYM...diet is definitely most important.

Get into reading real science journals, not the crap on Dr Phil.
