WTF!?!!?!?!~?

Jury is now asking about manslaughter charges..were they not listening those dumb asses or did they just fall asleep during the trail.

Here you have a wana be cop dick carrying around a semi automatic weapon and may I add semi automatic weapons are designed for the military to kill lots of people not self defence...stalking a African American child then when Trayvon tries to ligitimatly defend himself the facist bigoted pig guns him down.

Whats even worse is this dick has the excuse to say he was defending himself.... yea right ..... he got his ass kick by a kid. If any body was defending himself it was Trayvon.

Trayvon deserves justice and a murder conviction is what is needed.

Sorry for my ramblings but I get so upset when I see this kind of injustice.

JUSTICE FOR TRAYVON!!!!!

This has been especially distressing from the get-go...however, it's the US, and they have their precious constitution to protect. I just don't see how this can go any way but bad...

This story has hit me harder then most. I pray for justice, and I also pray for his family. Zimmerman, no matter the outcome, is a marked man. He will always be looking over his shoulders.
This guy will NEVER NEVER NEVER have a normal life again, agreed. Btw, have you noticed how much weight he's gained? Do you think this is part of the package? An overweight out-of-shape loser, who couldn't hurt a fly? These cases are such a joke...

The US is a really screwed up place with all there guns and violence. What kind of country lets people own semi automatic weapons like Uzi, AK47 and M16 and its legal in there country.

I got really freaked out when I went New York for my family reunion a few months ago. Most of my American side of the family are in the military and LE so when I showed up 4 of my cousins were carrying guns out in the open and they were not even on duty.

As for the racisms, American laws let white supremacy groups spread there lies and hate around shield by so called rights to free speech.

I for am glad that I was not born American cause after seeing how my American side of my relatives turned out its a scary thought.

My family served the all mighty Yankee imperialist army right back to the 1st world war where from what I figured out 9 of my relatives died fighting in France. In the 2nd world war about 5 family members died in Europe and in the Philipians and 2 in Vietnam.

But my fate was changed during the war against the good people of Vietnam. My father avoided being dragged into all that war killing and hatred by coming to Canada and avoided getting forced to go to Vietnam to kill people. While he and my mother got involved in the peace movement of the time and eventually got jobs working to promote environmentalism and ended up staying in Canada where I was born.

The scary thought is if he went to Vietnam he might have been killed and I would not have existed. Even worst, if he did make it back I would have been born an American and most likely ended up following the family tradition and ended up in the military invading Iraq or Afganistan and having to hurt people or get killed.

Been listening to the news....its not looking good...he may get off with murder.

The other disgusting part of this is that the police were not going to charge him with anything...until Trayvon parents and others brought this to public attention. This social injustice was so bad that Obama even spoke out. If this had not been brought to the attention of the people this dick would not have been charge and gotten away with it.

I've thought about this many times.

"Oh, you killed someone? You have the right to bear arms. Was he threatening you? Oh, ok then. Go on home. Nothing to see here, people..."

Tell that to the people who wait 1-2 hrs at the Peace Arch to come over to Wa State for reasons I will never know. Yeah shopping and what else? I cant name one thing.

We all know that a teenager innocently on his way home was followed by a stranger and ended up dead via the loaded gun this wannabe cop was armed with.
Folks can derive their own opinion of guilt or not from what was presented at the trial and the string of Zimmerman's lies, even intentionally misleading the court about their finances during the initial bail hearing.

Still the jury must divorce itself from emotion and from filling the blanks, focusing on the physical evidence and witness & expert testimony only.
Their decision to convict must be only if there is no reasonable doubt that Zimmerman did not act in self defense.
There were no witnesses to the confrontation. The defense team did a decent job, not of proving Zimmerman's innocence, but of providing the basis for reasonable doubt.

In my mind Zimmerman is guilty of 2nd degree murder. I am truly disappointed in the verdict but not surprised. And blacks still continue to wait for judicial equality.
He will have a very hard time living anywhere, and will constantly fear retribution which he may imagine could come at any time.... at any moment, now, or five years from now.

When several states now allow folks to go out and about in public with loaded weapons, whether concealed or fully displayed, then the madness of guns wins.

Trevor Martin, much taller and in better physical shape than George Zimmerman, attacked severely punched him (broke his nose) while wrestling over atop him before the latter pulled his gun out in order to protect himself from being murdered. Trevor Martin, age 17, innocent boy? He had just been suspended for ten days at school, reason from school records not made public, with a string of suspicious activities and acquaintances. Evidence showed that George Zimmerman called for help. George Zimmerman a racist? He, himself, was the child of mixed parentage. In his background, there is historical evidence of his going out of his way to assist Black people in need of help and over an extended period of time. What we have is super agitator Al Sharpton and the like with their own propaganda techniques using Trevor Martin's death as a means of inciting the public and assisting their own Black racist agenda knowing full well that their White allies in the leftist liberal camp with their usual passionate ignorance (like some PERB members) would agree with him and his cronies without investigating the actual case or raise an outcry. Injustice?...against George Zimmerman, the man whose life and reputation has been disrupted and on hold this past year. Now George Zimmerman's life is being threatened. If you want the lowdown on the Trevor Martin-George Zimmerman affair, one site is Pajamas Media with its long record of following and commenting on it, from the arrest to the lead-up to the trial to the final decision by the jury (six women) after an long day of deliberation. The prosecution was so plagued by inept, unfair and illegal judicial decisions in the planning and organizing of this case that a number of voices in the American legal community, including Alan Dershowitz, maintain that two of the prosecutors should be the recipient of severe complaints before the Florida State Bar Association. I will be following up to see if this occurs.

Trevor Martin attacked George Zimmerman, severely punched him while wrestling over atop him before the latter pulled his gun out in order to protect himself from being murdered.
There were no witnesses with clear presence or sight to the confrontation. Witnesses differed as to who was on top.

There is no evidence that Zimmerman was in danger of being murdered. In the absence of a gun, likely result might be two bruised and bloodied live males.

Trevor Martin, age 17, innocent boy? He had a record a mile long.
What only matters is what happened that night. It is a fact that Martin was going home and had every right to be where he was. It is a fact that Zimmerman shot him dead.

It is the in-between that we do not know for sure. That's why Zimmerman is free.... simply because we do not know the facts.

Zimmerman and Martin know the facts. One is dead and the other, an admitted liar, refused to tell his story on the stand.

Link to Zimmerman's admission of lying to the court.... http://gawker.com/5915713/george-zimmermans-lawyer-admits-his-client-lied-about-his-finances

Evidence showed that George Zimmerman called for help.
Actually testimony at the trial was conflicted on who called for help. You must have missed that part.

George Zimmerman a racist?
I don't know.... but it is troubling that Zimmerman referred to Martin, who is black, as a "coon".
There is definitely racism of all kinds in the United States, and, if you have been to Florida as much as I have, you will be very clear about the extent of racism there.

Juniper, you are certainly entitled to whatever you think and postulate about this case, as are all people anywhere.
There are many folks on both sides, both sides with their own strong opinions, criticisms and views.
But, when drawing from trial material, please include all of what was presented, not just bits and pieces.

Alan Dershowitz.... LOL Juniper. L.O.L. Really, Juniper..give me a break.

Whatever. Go back to watching Fox News or something.

First of all, and especially if you're going to try to make it seem like you have a clue, the victim's name was TRAYVON, not Trevor. Those are two different names and the least you can do is get his name right.

Second - The guy (Zimmerman) started following him down the street even after he was told not to do that and he knew police were on the way. An unarmed 17 year old kid who was minding his own business walking back to his dad's house from the store ends up dead from a bullet.

I mean, that's just pretty elementary common sense.

It makes no different what Trayvon's record was, as he was UNARMED and minding his own business when he started being followed by some creepy dude in his car - who also happened to be ARMED AND had been told not to follow AND had been assured the police were on their way. Did you intentionally forget to mention Zimmerman's own arrests or did you just forget by mistake? Because his wasn't exactly blank either and he's the one who a)owned a gun b)followed an unarmed 17 year old even when told not to c)fatally shot unarmed 17 year old he had been following. He's the one who's character and history matters, not the victim that turned up dead after being SHOT by Zimmerman.

DUH. I mean, really.

As I wrote, you could cite Pajamas Media or some other reference just, at least, to show where you got your information. And petulant, coming out of your hole, after months of hiding Miss Bijou, or is it hibernation? It's summer now. And paragraphs? Just where would I split my sentences up? You, according to the above, seem not to have much knowledge of how to use paragraphs, at least in English. Mon Dieu, c'est aussi la meme grammaire, la structure des paragraphes, en francais.

Then it's on to Alan Dershowitz. Although politically a democrat, he doesn't fit your neat little cubbyhole of what's permitted and what's not permitted, what's politically correct and what's not. But you're very predictable even though you like to think you're not, i.e., "sexy troublemaker". Try doing some actual work and refer to credible sources. See Sonny's post above. His response was both reasonable and arguable. Yours, as usual, was/is not.

There's no doubt there is racism involved. A Michael Moore tweet: "Had a gun-totting Trayvon Martin stalked an unarmed George Zimmerman, and then shot him to death.....DO I EVEN NEED TO COMPLETE THIS SENTENCE?" pretty much spells it out.

But aside from that racism, there is another big problem here. And it's the only reason a murderer walked free - this goes right back to absurd law that exists in Florida - the 'stand your ground' law. But looking into how and why such a perverse law could be enacted in Florida in the first place and was then followed by almost identical versions that spread to several other states, opens up a whole other can of worms. Because, as it turns out, a single organization is to thank for this law popping up in several states. That organization is called ALEC (for the American Legislative Exchange Council) and as it turns out, this stand your ground law is only one tiny piece of their portfolio.

They're responsible for several templates of laws that they are pushing all over the US. They are essentially a huge lobbying association for corporations and business interests of all kinds that can bypass many lobbying laws because they are officially a non-for-profit association and therefore not subject to the restrictions that official lobbyists have to respect. These laws and the government officials who establish them, are essentially paid for and bought by corporate interests. This is business writing up laws that will benefit them and handing them over, already prepared, for law makers to get them passed. They then do the same in the next state and the one after that etc..

This is how it has been described:

A national consortium of state politicians and powerful corporations, ALEC — the American Legislative Exchange Council — presents itself as a “nonpartisan public-private partnership”. But behind that mantra lies a vast network of corporate lobbying and political action aimed to increase corporate profits at public expense without public knowledge.

In state houses around the country, hundreds of pieces of boilerplate ALEC legislation are proposed or enacted that would, among other things, dilute collective bargaining rights, make it harder for some Americans to vote, and limit corporate liability for harm caused to consumers — each accomplished without the public ever knowing who’s behind it.

source

And if you want to know what I'm talking about, there are several good sites to look online but these two reports (video) are the best way to get an idea of what ALEC is, who it involves, how it operates, what it does and what it has done. Seriously, it's totally creepy. Really creepy.

Anyway..as with everything else going on, it seems, this whole thing goes a lot deeper than just the shooting itself.

Stand your ground makes sense. Not protecting yourself makes no sense. Being a "victim" of someone else's aggression is not taking the moral highroad; it's a form of self-defeating suicide. Attaching all this to some corporate conspiracy is, of course, within the realm of moviemaker Michael Moore and acolytes like M. Bijou.

Yah, juniper. I'm the one with the "cubbyhole" blah blah blah blah blah

Maybe you should take your own advice... And try getting the name of the main person involved right, then maybe you can try to berate me or give your little advice. Cause I honestly could not care less about your petty little ad hominems and they don't actually do anything for your argument either fyi.
