I have no idea how to write up a review, could someone please guide me through the process as I am completely green
Hey Harry,
The best way to learn review-writing is to read the review section and to adopt whichever reviewing style appeals to you. It's helpful if you state 3 facts: contact information (name & last 4 digits of the phone number); the donation you paid; and your rating of the SP's LOOKS, ATTITUDE & SERVICE.
As for Holly Taylor's perspective on what reviews should or shouldn't include, I totally understand it—and I've nothing but respect for Holly's intelligence and courage in this business. Of course, SPs enjoy the advertising impact of favorable reviews but they'd like to avoid embarrassing indiscretions.
Unfortunately, if pooners followed SPs' specifications, reviews would become as dry as dust, as bland as cardboard. We could just take Holly's list and do the following:
-Did she provide (or make available) the services that she advertised?
YES
-Did she perform those services well?
FOR THE MOST PART
-Were her photos accurate?
HARD TO TELL, AS THEY DON'T SHOW HER FACE.
-Was her incall location clean?
CLEAN ENOUGH.
-Was she ready on time?
YES
-Did you have a nice time?
PRETTY DECENT
-Would you see her again, or recommend her to others?
TOO MANY CHOICES TO REPEAT, BUT RECOMMEND—SURE, WHY NOT?
I'm not sure whether reviews like this would be widely enjoyed.
SPs have understandable motives for preferring certain types of reviews and disliking others. But pooners have entirely different motives for bothering to write—and read—reviews.
A minority are white knights and lapdogs who write shilly reviews, in hopes of ingratiating themselves with SPs with whom they plan to repeat.
Other pooners just want to trade info with brothers and give them a heads up, in return for what they received.
I write reviews primarily because I find it fun—an incentive to sharpen my observational skills, and a chance to flaut anti-sex taboos.
I prefer narrative types of reviews that describe a bit of what really goes on in one of the most dramatic human encounters: sex between male and female (near-)strangers. I like to experience this drama, and observe my experiences, and describe my observations.
But I certainly wouldn't wish to embarrass any ladies with my reviews. That's in part why I mostly review Asian micro girls who generally don't care about how much gritty detail you reveal (or even like it if it helps business).
Obviously, when an SP comes from overseas for 6 months of sex work, she'll usually worry a lot less about indiscretions than a Western SP who lives here permanently and has many non-SP-related community ties.
