well I suppose with Kesler and Henrik, CoHo would have been a 3rd liner for the next 10 years here....interesting game upcoming on Saturday when Buffalo visits.

Kassian...Zack Kassian.

Not too hard...really. He's bigger, aggressive, what Vancouver needs as the series with Boston showed that Van needed a bigger forward who can score. Good trade, according to the talking heads on TSN.

If they don't win the cup in the next 3 years, they'll regret this trade. Cody is not AV's type of player. This could be another Cam Neely type of trade. Not happy about this.

Agreed, AV didn't like CoHo,i can see him being a 25-30goal/80pt guy getting 1st line minutes down the road & he still has to learn the defensive side of the ice.Only time & a cup will tell if this deal made sense? I don't know maybe the 'nuck medical staff know more about his back then was ever let on?
The kids got talent & if he ever picks up more foot speed he'll be a good player in this league.'nucks got bigger, which i think can only help them.

By all reports and descriptions Kassian is a beast and in his words "likes to stand up for his team mates" at 6'3" and 230 and only at 20 years that's a good deal.
Cody would be a good player he just won't get the chance to do it here much the same that Schneider can only come into his own if Lui gets moved or he goes somewhere else.

Cody will never be a Lucic or Cam Neely or a Linden ,
he is a ok player , with soft hands.
so many of you are never happy......
everyone has been calling for toughness that can also play , now we got it.
Marchand the RAT will never slap Daniel ever again , and Lucic and Perry better watch their heads.
This kid is big , mean and tough. and can play a rough shut down role.
GOOD TRADE !!!!

I guess if call 3 goals = can play. Then this kassian kid can play.
We'll see how CoHo adjusts to 1st line minutes against checking forwards & 1st line d-men? Like i said before he'll be a good player, but we're rich with talented forwards, not so much at the grit department. We got ground down to a nub as the playoffs wore on(Torres tried but he wasn't as hornry as Lucic)Everyone whined about how we where owned during the Boston series, & it needed to be addressed. The kid can hit, hopefully he can do it at the nhl level, if he can it'll keep the tougher teams a little more honest. If that's the case,we'll make it out of the west(at least not like the walking wounded we had last spring)

may i remind you nuck haters to look at the standings again...... goof balls from toronto or calgary with hockey knowledge of a 4 yr old.
I,m actually surprised Gillis made a move .... when your number one in the whole league , why fix what ain't broke.
but we do have a surplus of Cody style players , and lacked a big meany..... i can't wait to see the RAT beheaded !!!

I think trading away Hodgson is a very big loss. If you look back at this season, most of his goals were timely and important ones. Plus, he has definite skill in the shootout. Personally, I'm really sorry to see him go.

Yeah, but he got a lot of those points against 3rd line pairings(defensive &forwards)I'm not saying he's not gonna be a good nhl player but he would have had to wait a lot of years to get 1st line minutes in a 'nucks uniform.

Hodgson has a few years of development before he starts to hold his own. I was thinking that Hodgson and Raymond were two 'expendables' that could be traded without too much detriment.

The Canucks now have Weiss, Bitz, Kassian as some serious beef that they have been lacking last few years. I like what I'm seeing.
