I do have a few questions and comments in response to your post:


1- Why create a new handle to make this announcement? To be honest with you, it is a little suspicious.


2- Which herpes virus did you test positive for? (HSV-1 or HSV-2)


3- As I'm sure you know, herpes can remain undetected, without any symptoms for weeks, months or years and can be transmitted without any visible sores being present.

This means that..
a) you cannot know for sure when you were infected, it could be recent or it could have occurred some time ago.

Therefore..
b) you cannot know how you were infected or who the person was, it could be one of those 2 sp's, or it could be any girl you may have had skin-to-skin contact with (that means any cbj or bbbj from gf or sp, BBFS with a gf or Covered FS with a gf or sp).

Also..
c) you do not have any way of knowing who it was but even if you did know (ie you've only had skin-to-skin contact with one single person ever) it is entirely possible that the person was not aware of being infected herself and may still not be aware of it.


4- "those deadly babes" --> Not sure what your comment means..? Deadly? A bit much, don't you think?


5- I think the appropriate thing to do is for you to consider advising previous partners about this so they can get tested themselves.

Herpes symptoms can raise their ugly heads long after initial infection has occurred. I am sure that you can consult the health nurse for more answers. Condoms are not sure fire protection against herpes and overdone did not over do it when suggesting that your partner may well have given it to you. Time to sit down and have an unpleasant chat with her. Failure to do so can put her and any children you have at risk. A mother can pass the virus to their baby at birth and this can lead to nasty complications.

I'm not sure about the whole cranial debate lol but my response certainly wasn't meant to come across as defensive and I'm not sure why or how the OP's post would have been perceived as offensive by me. I'm just responding because there were (still are) a few key points that needed to be clarified and I had a feeling the OP was unaware of some facts since he clearly was making incorrect assumptions. That hasn't been resolved and I still don't see the purpose of starting this thread. So no, not defensive but a bit annoyed about the fact that a thread like this one seems to pop up every few months almost always with the same lack of basic facts, while there's a whole section dedicated to repeating this information over and over in response to the question being asked over and over.


I mean, I'm not trying to be a bitch here but I find it exasperating that some people engage in various sexual activities without ever bothering to get the info. There's no excuse. People who fail to read and understand the health risks and other facts are the ones that are most dangerous IMO. They are huge liabilities to the community because they are completely misinformed about specific risks of transmission and likely do not ever get tested at all until the day they experience some symptoms. People who get regularly tested tend to be informed. That may explain my impatience although I am trying not to let it get the best of me so that hopefully someone else reading may realize it's wiser to find out the facts before anything bad happens and to get tested regularly.


All that said, I still have my doubts about the OP's motives as some questions were left unanswered.. In fact only a couple were addressed and showed how the OP truly has no idea how herpes is transmitted. One would think the doctor or nurse he saw at the time of his testing, would have explained this -or- that he would have decided to seek out the information (right here!) himself so as to be able to protect his current/future partners from possibly infecting them?
