I have read several Posts regarding the number of MP's and SP's working in Edmonton. I thought it might be useful to update the actual facts.
The following Internet site lists all the MP's that I know but includes several out of town and closed locations:

I have summarized the list below:
1. 50 Street
2. 99 Street - 2 SP's
3. Temptations
4. Saphire
5. Aristocrat
6. Bodycare
7. Brown Sugar
8. Legends
9. Classix
10. Cloud 9
11. Cove
12. DejaVu
13. Kingsway-Escape-Venus-Vegas (Peter's Palaces) - 4 SP's
14. Eurossage
15. Fort Road
16. G Spot
17. Hustlers - Just for Men (Vish's Places) - who cares how many SP's
18. Magic Touch
19. Mammasita's
20. MMC
21. Nisku massage Club
22. Passions (Leah's)
23. Supreme (Sandy/Leah)
24. Penthouse
25. Playpen
26. Prestige
27. Shiatsuon50th
28. Soutside Massage
29. Stdio 118

I have ranked them as follows:
***** - the high end studios with at least 13 active SP's - 1,8,10,20,22,23,24,27,and 32
**** - a step below the high end studios and generally have 10 active SP's - 3,4,5,11,12,14,15,16,25,26,28,30,33, and 34
*** - a big step below and as few as 6 active SP's; very little Intel on PERB - 6,7,18,19,29, 31 and 35
No Stars - per PERBerts stay away, no SP's worth seeing - 2,9,13,17 and 21
The above ratings are soley mine and if someone choses to disagree and has a different opinion - OK
. I am not going to defend them .
Extrapolating these ratings to the number of actively working SP's at each site gives the following results:
5 Star - 13 X 14 = 182
4 Star - 10 X 10 = 100
3 Star - 6 X 6 = 36
No star 6 X 0 = 0
Total 34 318
Perhaps some other PERBerts can mention MP's that I have overlooked and someone might even have the time to go to each site and count the number of SP's available .
In any event I think many of the estimates tossed around have been exagerations and this suggests that you can't see a new SP everday of the year without running out
