ghostie's view on this..... we're in the "Lounge" on a hooker review board here boys, nothing that anybody says or does really has any bearing on anything...
I think it would be much better to just have as few rules as possible. I've dicked around in the past with telling people "this should be in this other section", etc., but I'm not doing that anymore. Better to just let people do whatever the hell they want and each of us can react however we want.
If somebody was really bombing the board with posts, like a spam program or something, I'm sure the mods would address that in a hurry. But vanman is a real person who is putting his own time and energy and thoughts into his posts. So I say it's all good.
There are basically two kinds of posters here in my view (this is in the Lounge I mean, not the board generally), people who start threads/post stuff and want to see other people's reactions to it (I would put vanman, maverick and myself in this category), and people who like to look at other people's threads and add their 2 cents (hitrack, hornydude and smackyo are examples of this IMHO).
The people that like to see what other people have to say about the threads they have started (like me
), like to have their threads up near the front of the pack so people will actually look at them. If vanman dominates the front page then this will be harder cuz your threads will slip further and further down as vanman goes on a posting frenzy!
I don't really give a fuck though, my posts have all been plauged by the curse of the red X lately anyway. Maybe if I get around to posting something half-ways interesting that I put some effort into then I would want it to stay up on the front page for awhile so people will look at it, but I've mainly just been posting porn pictures and crap lately anyway so I don't care what knocks it off the front page. It is going to be forgotten by everyone (including myself) in 48 hrs. anyway.
