As a new member of PERB I've read threads where someone will post a message accusing a reviewer of being a shill. My assumption is that the review is either bogus or exaggerated to generate more business for the sp.

What I want to know is when does an enthusiastic review cross the line and become a shill?

There's a micro I'd like to write about but I know I'd be gushing because I really like this place.

I want to observe the proper etiquitte(sp?)so before I review this micro I'd like advice/direction from more experienced reviewers.

Thx for your input

Well, don't gush. One can express one's satisfaction, or lack thereof, without too much hyperbole. I have seen some very positive reviews here enthusing in the pleasurable experience but without over exaggeration.

If the service was incredible, just say it was incredible. I'm so sick of people here picking on others who had good service. They must be jealous.

If the service was bad, say it was bad.

Seriously, make up your own etiquette, just say what's true.

Good luck :)

I know some of mine have sounded somewhat like shills, but that's just because I had such a GOOD FUCKING TIME!!!

Did anyone else ever notice how the guys who regularly call shill rarely write reviews of their own? I am not going to list names here but you know who you are.

I have noticed its the same people over and over and over that scream shill.
Just an observation.

i agree some people call shill way to fast, when i go to an sp the thing i want most is a good time:)

I've seen people yell shill so often, last night, after pleasuring MYSELF, I thought to myself, "Scotty, that was FANTASTIC! I must repeat again sometime."
Then I found myself in the mirror yelling "SHILL!"

RW - I too have notice some perberts crying shill way too soon only to have to eat it later when they are overwhelmed by supporters of the sp being belittled.

A shill is an associate of a person selling goods or services, who pretends no association to the seller and assumes the air of an enthusiastic customer. The intention of the shill is, using crowd psychology, to encourage other potential customers, unaware of the set-up, to purchase said goods or services.

The shilling (or informally: bob) was an English coin first issued in 1548 for Henry VIII, although arguably the testoon issued about 1487 for Henry VII was the first English shilling. These English issues were preceded by Scots coins, groats valued at twelvepence, issued in the reign of James III.
