Curious what interests/ hobbies people have presently. I have a few I have been involved in for many years but I feel most have plateaued my interest. I think I might be ready for something new and perhaps exciting.

I have many hobbies. I collect comics and toys, love to build cars(on # 23, at the moment), collect cook books and culinary memorabilia, and (re)make teddy bears and stuffies into adult toys for kinksters, just to name a few.

My favorite hobby is cooking. Minimal investment, immediate feedback, great intangible satisfaction, huge scope for creativity and exploration.

I belong to the school of it's-the-cook-not-his-tools. Nobody talks about Gordon Ramsay's knives or pots - in that vein I never spend too much on gadgets or equipment. Don't mind spending the extra dollar on good ingredients though. E.g. A good dark maple syrup can really transform ordinary pancakes.

You have a salt water tank that presumably has fish as well as plants most likely.Good for you dude that is a delicate hobby that takes the most intricate care to balance out and maintain that lil miniature ocean.

I used to collect miniature firearms. Then I realized I was in a hobby way too expensive for my income level.A David Kucer miniature typically costs $5,000 for a single miniature.I was lucky to have sold my collection
and made a decent profit.

Interesting comment about dark maple syrup, I prefer the extra light, it’s hard to get as it’s usually the first few days of warm weather in the spring, usually only sold at sugar bushes,

I have way too many hobbies but one I can mention in here , I started making my own Kombucha and home made kefir and cream cheese.
Loving it, just regret it that I didn't know about it before.

Reef systems are delicate. For the most part, fish are the easy to keep compared to corals. Corals need stability, huge water flow and insane amounts of light. I have a 200 gallon display, but the system is about 500 gallons, with a dedicated filter room and redundancy on most systems, backup generator, etc. Having said that, a mature reef tank is probably the most beautiful thing you can have in your home.
It is obviously something that brings you immense joy, probably more than sex.To go to that level of dedication and great expense shows how passionate you are about that hobby and it is a constructive one for sure.

If I ever get down to Vancouver again I would love to see this living coral reef.

Truthfully, None

All the money I spent on travels, women, material things have taught me nothing about life.

The only thing I do is take care of my health, watch General Hospital Daily and fair amount of porn.

In not particular order:

coooking: What could be a greater investment? I just made some yummy stir fry, and can eat whatever I want when I want without eating out. It's so rewarding, learning news skills and being able to cook for others who love your food.

chess: I've been playing for almost 30 years! A very hard game to master, but I love solving puzzles and playing online (lichesss.org is the best place to do so).

blackjack: I play professionally.

Languages: Japanese, French.

Piano: I am now taking piano lessons, and finishing up an intermediate level. My goal is to reach grade 10, a very high level where you can play complex pieces. It's so rewarding and enjoyable.

Exercise: Taking nature hikes, tennis, ping pong, working out.

Traveling: Mostly the US for blackjack, but also many countries. As I get older, I have less desire to do so.

Dining: I enjoy dimsum, Korean, Thai, Indian, Japanse cuisines.

Movies: Love Netflix and binge watching. I loved Breaking Bad and the Walking Dead. Lots of great movies. My favs are sci fi (anything about aliens, time travel, robots, futuristic movies)

Going out for a drive... I drive a prety sporty car...

Investing. Not a hobby, but I like seeing my portfoliio grow. Everyone should invest in stocks and mutual funds. Even a few thousand a year adds up over decades.

Oher misc hobbies: Fortinite (video game), YouTube, and of course "hobbying".

Sadly, I have very few friends, but I keep busy.

Hi Stinkynuts. You're a good deep thinker. You should have been a scientist. When you have a few friends, than you got time to do your own way of hobby. ( you sound like me. lol )

Exactly! Why waste time, money and energy on friends who are just out to have a good time, and will never be there for you when you need them the most? Life is so full of wonderful things to explore. I always wanted to be a scientist. Never had the aptitude to become a physiscist or astronomer, even though I was good at math. That is whole different level.

It's much better to have a few real friends than a bunch of fake friends.

My personal life circle is very small. I'm happy that way. And I enjoy doing things on my own. I need frequent bouts of solitude to recharge my batteries.

Yep Extra light taste so much better . I was raised on that stuff when they called it AA back then , as the medium and dark taste like burnt sugar to me as it is because of the lack of sugar in the water . Nothing like a maple forest on a slope after a cold night to give you the best maple water on a warming sunny day .

Yes hard to come by as the farmers keep the best for themselves and the immediate family and send the rest to the coop in Plessisville but things might be changing,

Extra light is too light. Love the dark stuff.
