Yeah. I fell for it..but it seemed like a safe etrans. She said sent the amount and keep the password untill she arives. So I did. And I made a password. She then said she needs 10 bucks for travel but to provide a password a different pass word for the $10. So I did. Figured if she steals 10 bucks what ever..but somehow she deposited both etrans that had different paswords so how the fudge did she do that? Btw, im new at this but wouldnt have e-transed 280 with out feeling like she couldnt have my password till i saw her..either way, its a scam you were right. Just dont kniw how she did it.

She registered her email or mobile number for autodeposit and this bypasses the need for a password. This is the scam. Don't pay people in advance by etransfer!
Per the RBC site

Simplify How You Receive Money
With Interac e-Transfer Autodeposit2, there’s no need to log into your Online Banking or answer a security question to receive an e-Transfer. Once you register your e-mail or mobile phone number, anytime someone sends you money, the funds will be automatically deposited into the specified account.

while i know this to be true, when you send someone an e-transfer, and they have auto deposit set up, it tells you before sending the money that there is no password needed...so i don't know how their able to set up a password or question...?

Just a heads up even if they receive the money with a password or not under the bank act, you have 1 hr to recall the amount. This is to protect the consumer from not receiving the goods purchased, in this case it's booty!!!

I checked the Interac site and a couple of bank sites and I saw no reference to this. It may vary by bank but best to check with your bank to confirm.

Hi! CIBC customer care? My hooker fucked me. And not in a good way.
Well that is certainly one way you can handle it but maybe not recommended. Perhaps you could try, " Hey CiBC, I want to put a deposit on a car but I am worried that the guy could auto deposit my money. Is there any time limit or way I can retrieve my deposit?"
