I remember only a few years ago where I used to love surfing through Backpage and the ladies therein. I found several regulars there, along with some amazing specialty girls who I have only seen a rare time or two. All in all, there was much to be offered, and joy to be found.
Now? It's literally a wasteland of fake pictures, bad service, and nightmarish bait-and-switch. Yes, there are a handful of legit posters, even some amazing girls to still be found... but the sheer spadework needed to dig them out is no longer worth it.
I now understand why some of my fellow perbites request a recent sms/photo be sent before meeting. Dear gods. I also now understand the (mostly) fake outrage at a lady having to do so. The legit providers usually have either a website, or a private member's section on a website with lots of photos. The BP gurl squads? Nah. They just get mad and say "don't ask!"
which, imho (and i'm fine if i'm wrong) basically means "this post is bullshit, we will happily take your money then run you out of the room".
I never thought I would miss the old craigslist. Leolist is heading down a disturbing path as well, but the honestly there seems a bit more ... legit. Am I right? Is it still relatively trustworthy as long as we do our homework? Inquiring minds!
Cheers
