Pizza in Saskatoon...An abomination

I do not eat pizza that much anymore,
but I was kinda of hungry and it was late
in the evening, so I gave Homer's a try.
The pizza I ordered was "New York Style"
and I swear the pepperoni was bologna,(but
I like spelling it out phonetically balonie.) What
the fuck gives, since when has the cosumer acquiesced
to eating such garbage. Since when has luncheon meat
been acceptable as pizza toppings. When I order Salami
on a pizza I want deli Salami god damn it. Not some Maple
Leaf shit. Why did I pick Homers ??, does it matter, the pizza
joints in this town are just awful. I stand corrected, the Lounge
in the Radisson serves excellent pizza. But that is not a pizza joint.
too late now.. I should have just went to the Radisson.
In Saskatoon, I think you have to stay away from the conventional
pizza places and go explore bistros or cafe's or italian restaurants
that have pizza on the menu but do not specialize just in pizza.

Regina
Regina has pretty good pizza :) I don't know much about where to eat in Saskatoon, I have only been to a few restaurants there... I usually end up at Moxie's

C'mon now, how many times has fuzzy thinking like this landed you in trouble?
Thinkin' wit the tummy, or other parts, instead of the "big" head will often do this to ya.

At least ya didn't resort to doing it by yourself (ie. homemade). lol

Great Thread, this has been a pet peeve of mine for a long time.

I do quite a bit of travelling and really like a good pizza. I have not found a really good delivery pizza in Saskatoon yet. There is a greek place on idol wild (fonetix), they make a tasty pizza but there is on not much cheese or meat, but a lot of crust.

I remember going to venice house and really liking their pizza, but it does not seem to hold up to delivery, and doesn't seem to be as good as it was when i was younger.

It is pretty sad when pizza's in small town saskatchewan are way better than anything I have tried in Saskatoon, and I think I have about tried all of the popular places.

I agree pizza has gone downhill in saskatoon but maybe we just get pickier as we age and only remember the good parts from our youth i usually only ate pizza after a night in the bar as a kid so anything seemed delicious in that condition. For now though i do enjoy the greek pizza at athena on central avenue.
