not really. i think the bigger issue for me is her being hot, and representing herself well. if the ad says she's 20 and she's 40 years old, or if the ad says she looks like lucy lui and she actually looks like mathew perry then the discount doesn't amount to much.

but of course you'd never misrepresent yourself right?

But it makes a difference the other way. Upselling loses customers. Going for that extra 20 or more can make a guy not repeat. Its not hard math, go for the extra 20 or more and lose out on maybe repeats visits. Happened to me at Rainbow, the lady was my type and all but the constant " how about another 20" killed any chance of repeating. So make 20 more and loses a couple of hundred? makes no sense.

Research the rates. Find out what others charge for the same thing, more restrictions = lower rates, younger sp = higher rates lol. You balance what you do with what you are and there will be clients out there who you will match with.

If your hj rate is 100 an hour and you are 20, then I doubt lowering it by 20 is going to make any difference. Seriously, if they can't afford 100, why can they afford 80?

If your rate is 300 for the r&t, it also won't make a difference lol. It is at least twice the average rate. Most sps cannot charge that much, even RMT trained. You can't mess too much with the going rates; all you can do to get more than, say, 150 for an hour r&t is to be more unique or make it more special than other sps.

$30~$50 does make a difference
but..$20? just another meal I guess

for example, 100 for FS or 140 for FS?

In my house
In the initial posting part of the title refers to "specialz".

Are you asking about a "special" where a sp provides a short term discount on her services, or the general question about whether a $20 difference in rate would be the "tipping point" in whether you see a gal or not?

For me....If it is the former, then I think its a nice sign by gals who offer periodic specials/discounts for both their loyal regular clients and for those fellows who are price sensitive. A number of gals also offer "original rates" for those fellows who have seen them before, which is a nice sign of preferring a good loyal repeat client base rather than just single time visitors. A number of other gals also offer perb handle discounts, which is also a nice "special" treat.

As for the latter, it depends on the gal...I wouldn't see a gal who I wan't particularly attracted to or whose services weren't up my alley just because it was $20 cheaper. If there are two gals that I have never seen before who are similarly attractive and offer similar services, I would probably be more inclined to call the gal with cheaper rates first.

I do see gals whose rates would be considered above the "average", but that is more with those whom I've seen before and I continue to see them not because of how much they charge but because of the chemistry, appreciation and type of services I enjoy with them.
It would be rare for me to TOFTT with a gal who is a total newbie that sets her rates significantly higher than normal and has no track record/reviews.

Of course all of that is just my 2 cents. Regardless, I don't try to negotiate rates or bother complaining - whatever an sp charges is up to her - but depending on who it is it may play a factor as to whether I see her or not.

The girls I've seen have all been in the $250 - $400 range. Within that range, I really don't care about the price differences, it's all about how good the session is.

To be honest, it depends on my financial situation at the moment. If I am fixed on seeing a particular SP, I will find a way to get that extra money - I don't want to negotiate with the girl, I think that's demeaning and pathetic. I don't want to beg for sex... LOL

If I want to negotiate with anyone, I'll go see my friend, and depending on her needs at the moment, I can usually strike a deal with her...

If you are offering $20 off as a special for some period of time it suggests you are interested in seeing a few more clients and that interest on your part makes a difference more than the resulting lower cost.

More important is a discount on additional hours which suggests you appreciate longer visits and the time it takes to get organized for any visit.

On the other side, when you charge extra for some services the suggestion may be that you are offering that service with reluctance. I would rather not take advantage of a service that you would just as soon not offer.

Yes but even in that range there can be "specials" it depends on the gal.

Why not negotiate?

I'll get HELL for sayin this - but my entire life I've negotiated.

I would say that at least 40% of the stuff I buy is negotiated.

If you isolate that to only major purchases then we are talking 70% is negotiated.

What's included in the "major purchases"?

All of my:
  • homes
  • cars
  • motorcycles
  • computers
  • stereos
  • washer
  • dryer
  • refrigerator
  • oven
  • furniture
  • cell phone service
Most of my:
  • shoes
  • belts
  • suits
  • hotel suites
  • airfare
  • vacation packages
  • vehicle maintenance & repair
  • cell phone purchase
& last but not least
  • escorts

I actually feel awkward when I don't negotiate!

It's not disrespectful, if you inquire & they say no that's usually it.
On the flip side, some of my best deals were made with those who swore they were not open to negotiation.

There are some things, however, that no matter what I WILL be negotiating such as my car purchases & major appliances etc.

If I want to negotiate with anyone, I'll go see my friend, and depending on her needs at the moment, I can usually strike a deal with her...
I have a similar arrangement.
If she needs help I'm always there.
But the more loyal & frequent I am the better it is for me.

Good points trev.
I agree with the longer appointments rationale because if the gal would rather see you & it saves her prep time & hassle - why not give a discount?

Wow... great feedback guys!!

just to clarify, a couple of ya got it right on when said that i meant a 20 or 30 discount on a regular rate to appreciate reg customers and to possibly attract new ones. i think i've got my answer.........;)

Lots of luv, ash...
I think you will find a rate which is acceptable to you depending on your needs.

In these increasingly more difficult times it will be up to the ladies to attract business from whatever marketing strategy works.

I will say this, when the economic nightmare that is hitting the US starts hitting here, it will not matter how much a lad wants to see an SP when he is cash strapped & struggling to not lose his home along with everything else.

I don't know too many unemployed who have a regular SP.

i've negotiated all my life too. i also know that most businesses have leeway as to what they can let things go for and still make a good margin.

now, what makes it reasonable for me is that it has to be done with respect. you shouldn't be rude, call the other person cheap, or just be a wimpy grinder kinda person that has nothing better to do. quite simply put - giving you a discount should work in the other person's favor by repeat business, higher volume of purchase, or better loyalty from your part.

with sp's - i actually only negotiate to decide how much extra i want to tip. whatever discount she offers me, i add to her regular fee. but that's only with the extra special ones.

No it doesn't make any difference at all, especially if their starting rate is 250 or 300.

you also gotta agree that if tghe service is there most guys will pay $20 extra. as an sp you have to ask yourself are you trying to attract the clients that have abit more and will pay for better service, or are you looking to be the mcdonald's of sp-ing: "billions and billions served" cuz you'll be attracting alot of bargain seeking cheap mofo's. and i'm not calling all conservative budget people that, just pointing out that they exist.
