Check this out. (Anyone know if its ok to link this article?)

What do you guys get out of this article? Are they saying WPS is going to start cracking down on all johns, or just those who utilize street prostitution?

I really believe there is a big difference between a street prostitute & an escort. Any thoughts my ALPHA brothers? lol ... sisters too!

Yes the link worked.

The WPS has been targeting both SP's and John's who are involved in street prostitution, hence the start of John School. I think this is more of a publicity stunt then anything else, sounds good for the papers, but probably nothing will change.

I'm not so concerned with street prostitution, but more concerned whether WPS will start investigating escorts & escort agencies. Last thing I want is WPS knocking while in am incall session.

But to add to Georgie's point, there is a comment in the article that states while the main objective of this program is to target the supposed large number of aboriginal girls being human trafficked, nothing will come out of this (only a pat on the back) because Aboriginals don't trust WPS anyways.

I don't trust them and do not want it to happen but I suspect thet might try to make an example of some clent. The 2 part TV episodes has local politicians grabbing as much air time as possible. Read some online comment about how can an sp using a hotel room for session be safe when clients use fake names to book etc. Doesnt that always happen anyway and anywhere! I have uneasy feeling about all this hype the politicians and LE are drumming up. Feel bad for the working ladies and unsuspecting clients.

Just stick with well known and local ladies and no issues. They have to witness an exchange of money for a promise of sexual services for it to be illegal. No worries with an established lady.

it is illegal if done in a public place. Someone correct me if I'm wrong as the laws are always changing.

I believe the WPS primary concern is always "are the girls underage or compelled by pimps/gangs to do this". It is a media stunt for sure and I would rather our police spend effort shaking down the thousands of hoodlums patrolling downtown instead of a few dozen working girls who aren't looking for help anyway.

Selling bongs wasn't illegal either but it didn't stop the police from arresting those store owners. If the police want the girls on the street to start trusting them they'll need to arrest more than just 1 cop for forcing them to give freebies I'm sure there are a few of them out there

Back in the day an SW told me that cops were some of their most frequent customers. She didn't imply they were taking advantage but I am sure it happens all the time
