Agreed. It's been done to death and I stopped reading the posts a long time ago.

The only point of the threads can be summerized in three words:

"WEAR A CONDOM."

SPs: If a client asks for/demands bbbj (or more), don't do it (even if they try to intimidate you or give you a 'bad' review because you don't offer it.)

Clients: If an SP offers you bbbj (or more), don't do it.

End of story.

this is a great idea!! i get tested every 4 months for everything and initally i would get written test results however no one ever ask to see them - even if i suggested it, they were not really interested or too embarrassed thinking i would be offended - personally i thought it was just a responsible, sex-positive thing to do when one has multiple sex partners ...i know that an aquaintance of mine in the states must test monthly for her job and she has to provide her employer with monthly test results or she can not work...

miss january, you are obviously a very astute woman...i think the fridge is the perfect place to post a certificate...barring that, a copy carried in one's purse would work as well i imagine...

I have to somewhat disagree. Of course it always good to get tested on a regular basis. But we are in a biz where it is supposed to be about discretion.
I certainly wouldn't want to be showing my test results with my real name, medical # etc.
I know as well before changing work locations, I never left anything lying around with my name on it, such as mail...
But if Miss January is comfortable with that, so be it.
We can look at it in our case as well , should we be asking the pooners to provide their STI tests as well before we see them?
We are in a high risk job, we get tested regularly and like Lady Sharah said if someone were to have something, they should act human and get out of the biz fast.

you raise an excellent point...however, you could simply black out or cut off the top of the page where it has your personal information...and then that would eliminate the discretion issue...

as far as the clients' provision of their test results...i don't think that would be very realistic albeit graciously accepted if offered...as the person providing the service and running the business, don't you think that the risk involved as far as the client goes falls to you? i look at it along the same lines as the costs associated with doing business such as advertising, buying supplies, etc...in this case, there is no tangible expense related to the risk but certainly one could compare it to being a lifeguard at a pool and needing to show proof of your lifesaving certification...of course, how each person runs their business is ultimately up to them... thanks for raising the discretion point though...

only the HIV tests are coded...all the others, at least at my doctor's office, did have my name and MHS#, address, etc. at the top of the page...

I think the girls in the biz know alot about the risks. Most have families and no amount of money is worth ruining your life or another's.
