Where would I go to find names of people RCMP arrest?

This was a major story last year:

This evening, I was watching Channel M news and in a follow up, they released pictures of the Vancouver suspects arrested. There were about 30 faces. Where would I go to find the names of the suspects arrested? Is this public record? I would think so since the RCMP released the identities of the arrested to the media.

You could try calling the RCMP Pacific Region headquarters at 37th and Heather in Vancouver, but I'm not so sure they'll be very receptive to your request. I don't think they'll give the names out to just about anyone that asks. Maybe it's a Freedom of Information request.

It may (or may not be) be a public record but you'd have to have a pretty good reason for wanting the names of the arrested, after all criminals and suspected criminals have rights too...Christ do they EVER have rights!
