Debra Lafave, 25, whose sensational case made tabloid headlines, will serve three years of house arrest and seven years' probation. There is no need to idiot-proof this, Herb. I was one of the yes votes (which is now up to 8).

The point is, Herb, that ANY 25-year-old having sex with ANY 14-year-old is rape. Plain and simply. Rape is rape. There would be no discussion of this if the case was a 25-year-old MALE teacher raping a 14-year-old FEMALE student. Somehow, we think this case is different because of the older woman/young boy combo. It isn't.

Each and everyone of you would be reaching for your shotguns to do the 25-year-old MALE teacher in. Some of you would probably give this bitch a Humanitarian of the Year award for her "work" with young boys. The double standard that you guys are demonstrating here is just plain obnoxious. She is a RAPIST and deserves whatever punishment the law gives her.
