"When you absolutely, positively, gotta kill every motherfucker in the room"

In Jackie Brown, Sam Jackson's character states....

"...AK-47, the very best there is."

[on the TV.... GLORIA, a tall, Amazonian, bikini-clad, black woman faces camera and describes the AK-47.]

"When you absolutely, positively, gotta kill every
motherfucker in the room, accept no substitute. That there is the
Chinese one. I pay eight-fifty and double my money."

ghostie's question of the day... is he right? Or would you rather have one of the following:

AK-47 (Russia)

Steyr AUG (Austria)

FN FNC (Belgium)

Diemaco C7 (Canada)

Valmet Rk. 62 (Finland)

GIAT FAMAS assault rifle (France)

HK53A2 (Germany)

Enfield L85A2 "Bull Pup" (United Kingdom)

Beretta AR-70/90 (Italy)

M-16 (United States)

Feel free to add your own write-in candidate !!

All very worthy toys here Ghostie.

Another would be the MG-42 German machine gun,
a little heavy but with a cyclic rate of 1000 rpm, that should
do the trick.

Next would be a pair of Mac-11's very high rate of fire and
should to do trick nicely, light weight and you would need two
of them considering they empty there magazines of 30 rounds in
about 1 second.
Another of my personal fav's would be the MP-40 German
sub machine gun.

If that don't work, one well placed RPG certainly would ! :D
I know that doesn't count cuz were talking MG's here.

..............QM'r

Now?......which room to clear?? :D

I don't know much about guns so I don't know any of the specs on any of these choices but based on appearance I'd pick the Valmet Rk. 62. Nice sleek looking design.

Where's the Uzi?

The Israeli Uzi is supposed to the world's best sub-machine gun.

Personally for crowd control I would like something like a 25mm Bushmaster chain gun which mounted on several types of light armoured vehicles. Accurate up to 4km!

:)

Close in: AK...Far out: M-16A2

The AK has open sights and takes a lot of dirt and beating and doesn't jam....perfect for the down and dirty of urban warfare at 50-150 meter ranges.

HOWEVER, the M16A2 (as opposed to the much, much less reliable Vietnam-era M16) would be my automatic rifle of choice for engaging an enemy you could stand off from by 400 meters. It has peep sights, high muzzle velocity, and is a much better weapon accuracy wise over distance than the AK...I'd set it for 3 round bursts and fuck 'em up before they could even place a round close to me ;)

You forgot the venerable FN FAL (AKA C1 and C2 in Canada)

Dam that thing's heavy to lug around. Or are you not counting 7.62mm NATO?

but what if the enemy has a ground to air shoulder missile.. aims and fucks you up before you can even put a clip into your trusty m16?

If I had to clear a room quick, I think I'd rather have a semi-auto shotgun... maybe a SPAS12 or something similar... loaded with no. 5 or 6 shot. you could cover more area with less rounds.

As far as the AK47, the czech version of it is supposedly the best.

As others have said, there are probably better choices for clearing a room, but I voted for the HK53A3. Can't beat that German engineering :) The C7 is basically a M 16.

Although I still have a soft spot for the old FN. A good solid butt stroke to the mush for the yappy guy who wants to be the hero is possible with this old club.

(As this is perb... let the butt stroke jokes begin :D )

Here's some better M-16's for hornydude:

M16A1 rifle with 30 rounds magazine and a 40mm M203 grenade launcher attached (circa mid-1970s)

M16A2 rifle, with the heavy barrel, modified rear sights, spent case deflector, round handguards and modified pistol handle (circa mid-1980s)

Here's some combat shotguns for those that have suggested these:

(did you know a dude was killed in Richmond a few years back with a Benelli? It was a self defence arguement in court. Kind of morbid, but I'll post some of the details from the court's judgement if anyone is interested)

Mossberg model 500 (USA)
(this is such an American cop gun!! It just screams State Trooper)

Benelli M3 Super 90 (Italy)

Benelli M4 Super 90 (Italy)

Benelli Nova tactical (Italy)

STREETSWEEPER!!!

Remington 870MCS as an "Auxiliary weapon", mounted under the M4A1carbine, to form so called Masterkey system
