What would it take to get some of the local SP to come on here

Cutos to the ladies who are already on here.
When i go on cafreviews for other Provinces such as Alberta, the SP's are just as active as the members....i think we are all tired of BP, it sickens me to see nice providers having to advertise on that sight and am sure it doesn't help bring credible girls here. The sp's responding to posts is probably the best form of advertising.
I am tempted to see Gia only because i see her posts every second day and get a good feeling about her. (advertising is about getting yourself out there in the proper market)
What better way to advertise then mingling with the buyers.
Alberta and Sask seem to be using caf review.

To answer your question, if it was free Perb isn't as cheap as BP (thank goodness)

Agreed that there seems to be a better balance on CAF and SP411, with SP's interacting more. A few years ago, when CERB was more active, there seemed to be more SP's joining in there. But bill C-36 and the board's uber-restrictive rules seemed to quash any community there.

A SP is creating a persona for their work (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) and I think getting involved in the boards only helps flesh out the character more, beyond the the ad and the photos.

Been around for awhile and in the past have asked highly popular and successful providers and about the various boards generally and most replied that they saw no upside in participating other than posting the odd ad. In fact they saw it as more risk than reward. A low profile and a stable of regulars was their goal.

It cuts both ways - they may reveal that they are classy, caring and sensitive to their clients' needs. Those who demonstrate a good sense of humour fare particularly well. Or, on the other hand, they can reveal that they are nasty or overly sensitive to very minor criticisms.

We've seen the full spectrum of SPs' characters here over the years. The key is knowing when (and how) to respond, and when not to respond. Some SPs have that instinct; others don't and get involved in shitstorms that never end well.

As woody pointed out, there have been several instances where trolls or exes have driven SPs to leave the board. That's unfortunate, but class will win out in the end.

I do see one of the reasons the ladies may not like to post on here is because some of there comments may be taken the wrong way and it can backfire or turn in to a bitch session. Which is too bad , but i get it.

It can be a no win predicament: allow a bogus bad review to go unchallenged? Or defend themselves and get dragged into a mud slinging contest.

Everything is fine until someone with an agenda appears, or a troll.

A few jerks here have chased away some fine ladies.

I post about one ad every other month or so lol. I do make the occasional post and the very occasional "rant", on in 4 yrs isn't bad. Those that know me or have seen me post know that I don't get into the mud slinging, I think its best to say your thing then just let the cards do their thing. I do notice that before I post anything I usually draft it first and go over it a few times just so I don't say anything that might be taken the wrong way or that I could possibly offending someone that I had not intention of. (unless they deserve it) I tend not to defend unless it is over the top, no good usually comes of it.

I will make an attempt to post more often although I did have one member message me and ask since my rant why I am posting and that I should do everyone a favour and "sink back into my world of ignorant bliss" as I mentioned in my rant :loco: Sorry to disappoint but I am still here so you may have to use the ignore feature if I offend you that much. :eyebrows:

Avery: I also enjoy getting to know people more and I do share some of my personality here but more in private. Perb is not necessary the proper place to "open up" lol Pm'ing and email I find cumbersome but if you ever wanted to send a text for some back and forth feel free, I don't bite.
