Well, O.K.

FOR ME I find that the greatest bunch of phony, splineless, self centered people are the ones who wory about what people wear.
I would describe people in sales and politics like this.

I'll grant you that people who worry what others wear can be pretty shallow, though.

I have to disagree about the kilt ... dress kilts are way cooler than tuxedos for formal wear. But if you don't have some celtic blood running through your veins you do look like a fukkin poser!! Just for hanging around ... never wear a kilt unless you are in cape breton or Scotland.

Tom
I have to disagree about your opinion about kilts. I have talked to numerous SCotsman and they have no objection for non-Celtic people wearing them. Believe it or not, there are people out there who wear their Kilts on a regular basis, even as business attire.

There's a Seattle company called Utilikilts that makes heavy-duty practical kilts with tons of pockets. Geeks can hide their pen protectors in one of them and not look as geeky. You could bring a couple of bottles of wine to your provider and still have your hands free. You could bring along hundreds of loonies to pay your provider.
The possibilities are endless.

I just think they look really sharp ... but on a summer day they could also be breezier

There's also one of those ease of access issues for your favourite lady that is a big plus with kilts! :D

Hey! go easy. :) I wear them in the summer alot. If I don't, my hair is a frizzy mess by labour day, I used to wear ball caps, but I stopped after I lost a couple of them on the highway :(

Just south of here
Pleated pants are out?

Hmm...better tell Hugo Boss, Armani, Canali etc as all their pants are pleated.

I guess they haven't got the fashion sense of Very Veronica.

While there are some definite no-nos, like backwards baseball caps (unless you're trying to catch a Randy Johnson fastball) or yellow and green checked suits (Howdy Uncle Jed) generally I think it's not what you wear, but how you wear it.

Personally when I go see an SP I wear whatever crosses my path, my usual outstanding hygiene and my Mont Blanc wallet full of brown, red and green!

I dont think that an SP will object to my attire if I wore a pair of shorts with the wallet but I know that she would if I wore My Armani suite with no wallet!

The pleated pants conspiracy

I prefer pleated docker pants and classify them as very sexy, when fitted right.
My ex-girlfriend made me get rid of all my pleated dockers. She was adamant that only old guys wear pleated pants. She wasn't too thrilled about shirts with flowers on them, either.

I think it's relatively recently (last couple years) that the fashion police have moved against pleated pants.
