Feel free to add to the list but after a nod for pleated pants (cringe!) in another clothes related thread i thought some it was time for a fashion faux pas list:

-pleated pants...NEVER
-baggy in the ass pants...fitted trousers only, please
-deck shoes...not even when you're sailing
-hawaiian shirts...unless you're a real honest porn star
-boxers always...unless you've got a godlike body
-socks on or off during the event...i don't care...personally, i'm drawn to a man who has the chutzpah to keep 'em on.

Re: what to wear...

I like to put on a white shirt, ironed. A dark tie and dark socks, and a $100.00 pair of black Italian-made fitted pants, a dark blue Navel Jacket with three gold and red strips on the sleeves with brass bottons, that fits me to perfection, with just the right amount of Hugo Boss Colone. And my underwear is Army issue.

Then in walk these two lipstick Lesbian Russian women that devour me for three hours. And they just Love a man in uniform. Am I dreaming? Have I compromised national security? If I'm lucky they'll kidnap me and make me talk sometime in the future.

Just a thought.

I have to disagree about the kilt ... dress kilts are way cooler than tuxedos for formal wear. But if you don't have some celtic blood running through your veins you do look like a fukkin poser!! Just for hanging around ... never wear a kilt unless you are in cape breton or Scotland.

I've never professed to be a fashion god or anything like that, but.........

I wear pleated pants (with my suit and occasionally a pair of dockers).
I don't wear boxers, but I always wear boxer briefs.
I always take my socks off before hopping in the sack.
I sometimes wear golf shirts with a small logo on the chest, but not that often.

Well, I guess my point is that fashion is a personal thing. There are things that my buddies wear that I would never wear just as there are things that I wear that they would never wear. The fact is that we're all well-groomed and clean, if not always cutting edge chic. To me, that is far more important.

I think there are only a handful of people who can successfully "do" bow ties. Pierre burton was one, my high school principal was another. The rest of us should leave them alone unless wearing black tie!

Wearing a ballcap on your bike is one thing. But to constantly wear them in nightclubs, dining establishments, or wearing one in your wedding announcement photo, or keeping it on during the national anthem...I cringe with despair.
