What makes you review (or not review) a lady?

I was just wondering why some pooners will see a girl and then not review her, or wait until she is the topic of discussion to do so. Why is that? What makes an encounter "review material"?

Yeah cause some people review a great gal and recommend her 100%. And I can see how many would want to keep the little jewel a secret just for them.... I always did wonder about what drives you guys to review a lady. Now I have some food for thought. Thanks!

Oh, I dunno, Freddie - your recent FTSW's weren't bad at all. Speaking of which - what ever happened to FTSW 2/4 ??? I'm surprised no one else has queried you on this? ;)

superjoint, there is that fine line between recommending and shilling. Not saying anything but that, but mind how you come accross. There's been many a battle started over who crossed that line. Intentional or no. Since you've told us her number and locale, you may as well tell us what she looks like.... ;)

If an SP is well reviewed, usually I won't add to the pile as it is a bit redundant.

However, if a session does not go as expected or if she hasn't been reviewed in a while.

I am there with the info.

Post or not to Post

My reason is that "shill" attack. I see how some one new post a good review and instantly some one goes shill and gives em a hard time.

To avoid a Shill attack, sounds like someone new should post a negative review first and then a good review huh?

I've only seen two sps since posting my initial request for info on this board - and my reasons for not reviewing are the same as noted above by oldnwrinkled1.

....though after thinking it over, the reviews would no doubt benefit fellow lurkers if the ensuing "shill attack" doesn't demean the integrity of the review. Tough call. Wouldn't want to actually deny a woman potential clients if it's thought that her review is fake - but at the same time there's a certain niche on this board that's absent due to other posters claiming a review is fake if it's favorable and involves an sp that has yet to be mentioned here.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that when a pooner finds a real good SP, he is probably not going to share his experience.
I'm of the opposite view. If I have a really good experience then I will write a review. If the SP treated me well, the least I can do is to help her advertise. This is her job and a good review is my thanks to her. Sure I could wish that she were all mine, but I know that I'm just a client. If I can help her be successful in her chosen occupation, then a honest review can only help.

If I have a really bad experience I'll post a review as well as a warning to other clients.

In my experiences in this hobby there has only been one SP I haven't reviewed, just because I haven't had the time to give the review the justice it deserves. Good reviews and bad reviews are easy to write. Reviews in the middle are a careful balancing act.

Up until last November, I never even knew that these type of boards even existed. Before I found this board, when I found a gal that I want to see I just saw her. But after I discovered Perb, I would read up on the gal but never based my decision on seeing her on any of it. It just gave me a better idea of what to expect. I take the good with the bad knowing that YMMV.

I know this is bad for a review board but I had a policy of not posting review on anyone I have seen. I feel that the ladies put too much emphasis on reviews anyways. I have always treated SP's as ladies with respect and felt that providing details of our encounter is somewhat disrespectful and demeaning to them.

However, after talking with an SP about the fact that I did not review I got a different perspective on this issue. There are those that...well....are total scam artists, this board helps pooners differentiate between those that are good SP that really do care about providing great service and those that just want your money.

Upon my retirement from this hobby, I proceeded to rectify the situation and posted reviews on all the gals I have seen in BC. I posted what I was comfortable with posting and without going into details posted an honest review of my time with each of the ladies. I know that I did not go into service details and will not answer PM request for it. I do that out of respect for the lady I have seen. For the gals in Calgary, well there are only 2 out the many left that are still in the biz. They have their regulars and I really don't think they even care about reviews.

This board works best if you review each time you see someone. Many people on this board share with each other their best encounters. Do onto others as they do onto you.

Personally, I haven't purchased time with a provider in quite some time, but if I ever do again, I'll be sure to post a review on the encounter regardless of its outcome. How else can the board survive?

Now that I have found Perb, I am planning on reviewing someone when I see them for the first time and then additionally if anything for me changes.

At this time I am running a little in the dry spell not seeing someone as often as I would like.

So for me it is anytime I find somehting new or different.

Take care,

Daryl

P.S. Morrigan, missed the 5pm ferry yesterday so came straight home, therefore did not call. Then next month or so I am on the road in the states so catch you when I get back.

Damn good question

I have no problem posting positive reviews. This is not a competition, and I can hardly keep anyone all to myself.

Less positive reviews are a problem. Basically, because I'm newish I don't know what the standard is for 'quality service,' and, also, I really wouldn't want to hurt someone's feelings. So when I do review, I avoid discussing looks and focus on attitude, generally speaking. We are talking about women, not cars.

Finally, I need to take some responsibility for how a session went. It would hardly be fair for me to complain that a woman was too energetic or not enough if I hadn't said anything about it during the session, as I have found most SPs to be very cooperative and willing if I am clear about what I want.

PS - Morrigan was great! Ha ha!

to review or not?
generally yes, good or bad, I can hardly 'keep' the good ones to myself realizing it's buisness for the ladies & how I could possibly $$ support my favorites alone .... sigh.
On the other hand less memorable sessions would be reported though there is always a YMMV factor.
As I was a 'lurker' on this board before registering, ColDave's comment is partly unfair, as I hope I have contributed as much as I have also learned from this board.
my 2 cents.

On an MP table somewhere..
They've gotta be very good or very bad..

I'll write a review of a lady if the session is Very Good, or Very Bad.

If I've had the time of my life, then I want to wax poetic about it to relive the experience.

And if it was a bloody disaster, where I felt she ripped me off, I wanna be sure the other pooners hear ALL about it..

That said, I'm leery about TOFTT now and tend to stay with the ladies already receiving good reviews..

I thought the same way until one of my earlier experiences. I usually prefer to ask the lady if it is OK with her for me to post a review, and to my surprise (as I was VERY pleased with the SP) was asked not to. Still can't really figure out why, as she is not well known, and she couldn't really figure out why either - just said the thought of it made her uneasy, even though she knew it would be positive.

That being said, I think most visits deserve a review to keep the board dynamic, unless it's it just a "yeah, that's what I thought too" kind of review/post.

I have been saved from wasting my hard earned funds, as well as assisted in finding someone that I felt would be worth seeing. I have posted good and bad as well and try to help a good SP find more business, after all, that's what we are all here for.
I just wish I had found this board in time to prevent seeing a few like Selena.

Colonel Dave you raise some very valid points here. Of course you have also raised our curiosity regarding your keepers but fair play to you, you have reviewed in the past and you are upfront with your views. Honesty will always earn respect. That said, I would still love to know who your keepers are.

Vancouver - sort of
To review or not to review, that is the question. (sorry Bill)

The subject of reviews has occasionally come up when talking to an SP, some like to be reviewed, some don't. The lady's wishes must be respected IMHO.

Having decided to review, the content is the next decision. Some reviewers go into what I consider clinical details (check reviews on Seattle's TheReviewBoard.net to see what I mean). Some prefer to leave the intimate details between the lady and the reviewer. I choose the latter as my course of action unless specifically requested otherwise. I feel that having reviewed favourably is sufficient notice to other readers, particularly when my review includes mention of the fact that I intend to see the same lady again.
