Anybody checked out this private site set up for compaints against the VPD?

It is (duh! obviously) linked to the Work Less Party of British Columbia. The graphic are pretty priceless. I want a shirt now!!

I don't have any complaints against the VPD right now, but maybe some of you do.

Complaint site for useless posts

How about a complaint site for useless posts that have nothing to do with pooning? I'm getting tired of all the political and mindless posts lately.

Any other pooners feel the same way?

Why not have a look at some of posts in this section of the board before opening your mouth? I don't think any more than about 20% of them have anything to do with pooning. That's what the other sections are for.

Be nice to be able to read the posts on the 'official' site. Problem with the unofficial site is that it could simply be someone makin' up shit to flame the cops. Sites like that don't carry alot of weight with me.

They have an official site vpd.ca, however it doesn't really have much interest in being truthfull. The only way we are going to get a credible sense of the complaints, is when we have someone other than the police investigates the police. As evidence by the Stanley park incident, and the complaints commissioner report that followed, the VPD are just as capable of "makin' up shit"

Anyond be "wronged" by the police? Any SWs in particular?

Has anybody on here been "wronged" by the cops? Be it the VDP or whatever cops are in your town?

I wouldn't mind hearing some stories. Myself and some other people were discussing bogus prostitution related vehicle stops in 411 awhile ago, but that isn't really "police misconduct" per se.

Any SWs or MP/AMP girls had any negative encounters with police? I can appreciate that you probably don't want to post that kind of information linked to your SP identity... but certainly there lots of stories, in this city and elsewhere, of police coercing favours out of providers, having sex with SP while on duty, etc.

The VPD should seriously be run by civilian management, not themselves. Then at least they would have to account for their budget (which they currently don't). Those losers keep asking for more and more money every year, keep complaining how they never have enough money, keep using scare tactics on the radio about how crime is everywhere, and keep going way over budget. It's a protection racket they're running.

Furthermore, the average cop has a very low intelligence.

To be fair, this is the 'lounge' and there is a 'review section' dedicated to exactly what your are looking for. Besides, the 'sifting through' part is the fun of it. I learn all kinds of interesting things here and am revolted just as often. If the topics are not of interest to you, skip over them ... it's no big deal. Perb is a community of interest and one with less boundaries than what we are exposed to otherwise. Personally, I am grateful.

I often see this old homeless guy down on Main and Hastings just sittin there with his hat on the grond and a few pennies in it. White haird guy with obviously fukk all, or so it would seem after reading some newspaper articles about rather well off people beggin for change just to try to get some free money after realising on a good week these bums can make a few hundred dollars.....but thats a different story all together.

Anyways I saw the VPD hasseling this guy.....I mean come on VPD WTF could he have possibly done or is doing that would need you stupid fukks sticking your nose into. Ya, hitrack... totally agree. I see that kind of shit in the DTES quite a bit, as I'm sure you and all the rest of us that go down there do. It's like, "C'mon man! Hey dude, just cuz I am sick of being accosted by lowlifes every time I venture onto a city street don't get bent at me.

All these pukes that are healthy, young and able to work but choose to beg on the street are nothing more than parasites that don't deserve the time of day. The cops put people in jail and they are out in a few hours - a little old school justice is exactly what is needed.

The old time junkies - screw 'em. We talk about revitalizing the DTES and yet we give out free heroin, have shooting galleries and now the brain trust down there want allow people to do meth in a controlled environment - how fucked up is society when we not only tolerate this behavior but enable it as well. Nuke the area and start again.
