I think theres some misinformation being spread here as well. Thats why I tell people to do their own research. Especially when it comes to an issue as serious the risks of HIV/AIDS.
As for the above post, you cant just look at one set of stats such as the transmission rates for the entire population of a country.
For example, 3 countries could have the same infection rate yet the demographics could tell a different story. In one country, the majority could be IV drug users. In a second it could be homosexual men. And in the third, a majority could be commercial sex workers. Similarily how in N.A. HIV is quickly increasing in seniors. Its different everywhere so straight comparisons arent fair.
