Oh, and last bit of great irony is that Glen Wesley was the final piece of the Cam Neely trade as he is who the Bruins drafted with the choice we gave them along with Cam for the immortal Barry Pederson.

I can't believe that you Canuckleheads are still bitter about the Cam Neely trade after all these years. He would have ended up as another Jim Sandlak if he didn't leave. Besides, didn't Vancouver get Naslund from Pittsburgh for a pylon?

The differance is most NFL players are American. Only real good player that is American on Carolina is Weight. Samsonov, Hemsky, Tarnstrom, Spacek, Dvorak are all great Canadian names. Go Europe.

There were more Canadian boys on Carolina team than Edmonton. I played minor hockey with Rod on the island and he deserved the cup way more than the likes of Peca, Pronger and Smith.

Carolina played great. It is still the Canadian game and the better team, with more Canadian boys, won.

WTF! if them Vancouver Canucks had lot less Canadian boys than Carolina, ya ain't going to convice me the canes is better.

Based on the team lists at nhl.com there are 21 Canadians playing for Edmonton and only 15 for Carolina.

The players get the solid credit but so do the men who built that team:

and ofcourse Peter Laviolette gets a big two thumbs up!

and to those who question my love for our country because of a hockey game, you have a lot to learn.
