Well, it seems obvious the source of the terrorists funding. The peace loving (can’t we all just get along) United Nations.

The information now starting to come out (at least in countries that do not control the press) is very concerning. France and Russia are in to this mess neck deep. No wonder they were so much against the Iraq war. Their position was all about money. The very accusations were making against the US. Surprise...Surprise...

The UN provided the cover so this billion dollar money laundering could take place. The money trail will lead back to terrorist organizations. Syria is already implicated.

Unfortunately, there is some information that leads back to U.S. citizens. I wonder how high that will go.

This could be the beginning of the end, especially if Kofi decides not to step down.

Let’s all sing together…….

Na na na na…..

Kofiiiiii goodbye…..

Do you have a link to the information you are talking about? The oil for food scandal? That seems to have put huge bucks into the pockets of Saddam and his cronies, but I can't find a story about links to terrorism.

Yup... I'd hate to live in a country like the US whom controls the press with a vengeance.

I have heard that Germany and France were promised oil field if they voted to lift the sanctions... now, Iraq at this point was crippled to the point of having no WMD and almost no military.

All the US Army is having to deal with is insurgents... funny thing about those insurgents... don't they LIVE there?

ALso, Saddam NEVER had any association with A/Q. None. The war on terrorism was simply an opportunity for Bush to move in on Iraq. Not to say that Saddam was a nice guy... but he was a toothless old hag, bereft of any ability to pose a threat. SO the US invaded a sovreign nation and occupied it... and continue to rape it of its resources. Meanwhile. last I heard, the guy that masterminded the attack on the twin towers is still on the loose and having a gay old time.

I guess Osama Bin Laden was just a dupe...'cause you just don't hear much about him anymore.

But back to the oil fields... quick question... who controls ALL of them now?

Yup. No slinging stones when ya live in a glass hut. Imperialism at the cost of national troops is a very bad thing. The US soldiers are being used and abused and, in turn, are commiting war crimes against Iraqis.

What about those hundreds of illegally held prisoners in Guantanamo bay? You know... where all of those atrocities occured? The soldiers... what did they get, a slap on the wrist? Of all the hundreds of prisoners...there have been less than 20 convictions, if that.

You know... there was another nation that acted like this....

Saddam killed uncounted numbers.

The Americans CAN'T count the number of civilian losses... how can you when you target civilian locales because of either mistakes or deliberate attempts to demoralize the enemy?

Those bombing runs were an atrocity in and of themselves... or the fact that the soldiers have taken a shoot first, ask questions later attitude.

Now, I can't even imagine having to deal with suicide bombers... that can make you crazy. I don't blame the soldiers for losing their minds down there... it's either kill anyone who looks like they may be looking to harm you or be killed yourself. I DO blame the guys that put them there... the guys that ordered the oil fields ot be preserved ABOVE the museums, hospitals, food distrubition, schools etc....

http://www.iraqbodycount.net/press/

Iraqbodycount.net maintains ongoing counts, verified through official media reports rather than estimates or hearsay. The current total gives a count of between 15000 and 17000 civilian deaths directly attributable to the war -- not deaths from starvation attributed to sanctions, etc. This does not count Iraqi soldiers during the war, insurgents, suicide bombers etc.

In the page referenced above, they quote amnesty international as attributing several hundred violent deaths annually to Saddam's government in the years directly before the invasion. They point out this does NOT include the campaigns against the Kurds and Shiites in the 80's and early 90's, where many thousands were killed. If comparisons were warranted, they should focus on how many would have died in the next few years under Saddam's brutality, versus the number of dead under the US invasion. That is certainly how the Iraqi people will look at it when they mourn loved ones.

Check here HQ

The money was laundered through a company in Saudi Arabia. Isn't that were most of the 9/11 gang came from?

I find no such web site, for which I am grateful. If you are promoting Jewish conspiracies, I suggest you find a White Power or Nazi website where such views would find a receptive audience.

CJ, I know what you will be having for dinner in a short while..

Your words....

It is not proven yet...but there are a lot of people running scared right now.

There is a real possibility that funding for 9/11 came from Sadam.

Isn't it odd......the slightest connection between Bush and any scandal is all the proof you need to make it true.

When tangible evidence against Sadam and his connection to terrorism starts to surface you won't believe it.

It is a common guess that most funds for Al Quaeda originated in Saudi Arabia, where radical clerics raised funds, as well as from a network of affiliated radical mosques throughout the world. That is one of the reasons that attacking Iraq was so absurd --- attacking Saudi Arabia would have made more sense.

There is now and has never been any evidence WHATSOEVER that Saddam funded the attacks on 9/11. Even the US administration doesn't claim that, although they provided many hints and innuendos to justify the attack. Your logic would seem to be:

a) We attacked Iraq.
b) Therefore they must have been responsible.

Yup... I'd hate to live in a country like the US whom controls the press with a vengeance.

Ever heard of the Asper family, the one who basiclly own the media in this country and fire people who speak out against the basterdized liberal Govt. we have in this counry. Didn't they actually can a jounalist for doing this?

"France and Russia are in to this mess neck deep. No wonder they were so much against the Iraq war."

I wrote a term paper on this very fact a year ago.
It was well known, but why did it not make on to the news? That would prevent the media and their anti- American campaign from succeeding in painting America with the ugly brush.
Not that they need a whole lot of help they, are as guilty as anyone. However the same media doesn't really talk all that much about the good that America does in the world.
Dead civillians, are those the ones that run around in street close carrying russian made weapons to shoot at American soldiers with and if not then hey I don't think any one likes the tragedy of war. Do people believe that Bush is having fun with this? That Bush made this decision easily? ask yourself how many humans on this planet could actually deliberatlly send young men and women to their death and have no remorse.

Maybe Mr. Bush feels a great deal of remorse in private. He admits none in public. The facts are the facts. His administration created this war, and are responsible for those deaths. Would we forgive a foreign power that caused the deaths of our family members and friends in similar circumstances? Hardly --- a renegade group of terrorists murdered 3000 innocent civilians in New York, and the US has caused 5 times that amount of death in Iraq. The US administration maintains that there is a connection, in that they are battling "terrorism".

your right hank , the site is down again , but it will be back up again tomorrow. it is not a white power or nazi site. simply , a site of FACTS, who controls what where and who breaks more un resolutions than anyone in the history of the un. it seems as soon as anyone mentions anything like this every jew starts calling you a racist nazi . just FACTS my friend ! check it out tomorrow or in a few hours it will be back up.
And if there was a "Christian Watch" website? What would they be responsible for? Who controls Wal-Mart and the US armed forces? I am sorry, but listing Jewish people who control media organizations and therefore implying that it is some kind of Zionist plot IS racist.

On the other hand, the owners of CanBest Global DO have a policy of not allowing criticism of Israel in their papers and tv stations. Does that make them members of an international conspiracy? or capitalists who feel free to propagate their own views because they own the damn things?

Come on you guys...you sound like one note Johnnies.

I know you oppose the war in Iraq. You know I support the war.

The outrage is the UN provided cover so Sadam could convert billions of dollars (I guess that was Euro's) into his own stash, payoffs and funding for terrorists organizations including A/Q.

Kofi is now dragging his feet and not releasing even basic information that would help determine what happened. I wonder why?

The truth will come out and when it does, many of you will have a lot of words to choke down.

In the mean time ....

The diffference of opinion seems to be that Grendleaxe's posting is literate and reasoned, based on facts, and has the advantange of ringing true. There is nothing in the news clip you provided (even though it was from FoxNews) that supports the idea that Saddam sent money to Al Quaeda.

What is surprising about corruption in huge bureaucracies? There always has been, and always will be. The sanctions on Iraqi oil and the huge funds at stake would of course result in huge scams. I still don't understand how that supports a war -- it should support battalions of blood-sucking lawyers.
