Should negative reviews be removed?

I am not asking this of the moderators as they seem to have their sh'it together. I am asking the rest of you guys who see these reviews one day and they are gone the next. My example of the day is a certain SP who had a review posted that complained a bit about her lack of cleanliness. Then someone with one post comes along and says that she is great. Well, I had seen her and poster of the review was 100% bang on and I left that place with a desparate need to scrub for a week. Then another one post comes along and moderator bans that person and the other one saying they are same person and likely the SP.

Now that review is gone and I thought it was a great warning to other guys. Now that it is gone, warning is gone and more guys will waste their money. Is this a concern to anyone else? I like the idea of Perb as it can help me avoid wasting my money. Curious what you other guys think.

My advice would be that if you are going to do a negative review...no matter how pissed you are...make sure it isnt in the guise of a personal attack. Tone down the rhetoric and even mention some possible positive aspects of the session (if possible). The less it looks like a personal attack the more likely it is to remain. Be negative, but respectful.

doesn't matter ... the policy on perb is that if an sp asks for her reviews to be removed, they remove them all -- good and bad -- and that's it for any more reviews of that sp.

used to be you could find a good review here ... now its gone back underground and every experience is TOFTT ...

Negative reviews

Boards like PERB cannot be like "Consumer Reports" for pooners, because they are ultimately dependent upon the good will and even advertising of providers. That's my two cents.

i have never trashed a sp that hard in a review. even for someone i did not like that much, i try to say some positives, but my "perceived negatives" are always stated.

i have never had a review pulled.

i think that if you write alot of reviews, the Mods will cut you more slack.

you dudes have to realize that there are alot of loon-bags posing as posters.

so a negative review from "newbie" with 1 post has to be given less weight than a negative review from a veteran who has posted say 50 reviews.

The mods try to look at the context and the underlying credibility of the reviewer. i am not agreeing that just because a reviewer only has 1 post that AUTOMATICALLY his review should be pulled, i am just saying it is one factor that i am sure the mods take into account.

It was not a trashy review but honest and informative (and not mine, I simply agreed). Even the moderator came on and bannned to people in support of the SP and said they were the same person and even perhaps the SP herself. Now the review and the thread is gone and another guy may go down that path and waste his money or worse. Isn't this why this board was formed?

I would be very hesitant to ban a negative review unless it was obviously a fake or extremely offensive. Even in cases when it was offensive I think a edit would be much better than complete removal. After all this board is to help guys avoid wasting their money.

As long as it is not a personal attack with very mean and cruel comments/description, I don't think MODs will pull honest non-personal attack reviews.

my 2 cents

From an SPs point of view...

As someone who has had a poor review (the poster who started the thread gave a glowing review but was later banned permanently and all his posts were erased, in case you were wondering), a poor review is just one person's opinion and may not be shared with everyone. Off day for the SP, off day for the client, whatever. As long as it's not malicious then any one of us could learn from the said experience and improve if there is room for it.

I could see a review being pulled if the SP saw it and the seesion wasn't truthful...

Never Remove a Negative Review

A negative review will always be a personal attack, even if we avoid name calling and private data (home address, real name, etc.) and we select our words carefully. Something went wrong in an intimate encounter. Who is going to express this type of thing in a manner that does not offend? It will offend; if for no other reason than the buyer was disappointed by the results in what we have learned is to be an enjoyable experience.

We are constantly bombarded with "What to Expect." Note the catchy advertisements, pictures, videos and wording to lure us in to the enjoyable experience. We rarely see negative features displayed in an advertisement.

Lots of money is being exchanged to experience an expected enjoyable act and when the seller "SP" does not live up to her advertisement or at least the consensus belief of how she should act, we are naturally disappointed. The only way of avoiding a negative review is not to have any expectations but that's not possible in this situation since it is all about expectations.

I agree with you to a certain degree, what if the buyer knew what the advertised product would be like but still chose to buy it and then complaint about false advertising. What would you think? Who will be responsible, buyer or seller?

I agree with you completely.

What I don't seem to understand though, (and it happened to me) why some people still allow a session run its' course if the SP wasn't what they had in mind (too heavy, too light, not attractive according to them, etc.) and still post a negative review. It's pretty clear what head those type of folks are making the decision with. With those kinds of expections, you're bound to be disappointed and not enjoy the session. Why not leave, it's better and wouldn't hurt the SPs feelings.

Although, if the SP misrepresented themselves, then be my guest, write a negative review.

I don't know it just seems that this particular topic usually comes up with one SP.

Ya know,

the SP, in question had it marked clearly what her measurements were (I know, guys and numbers...), and a pic was a reference. This just seems bogus, dude you knew coming to see her what you would expect. It wasn't misleading. But there was more to the story, right?

Huge D,

Include my second paragraph in your quote and I think it will answer your question.

Stephanie,

Like you said, if the buyer goes to the sellers place and examines the product if the buyer is not pleased with what he sees, why bother to take the product and complaint afterward:rolleyes:

It would be pretty funny if an SP posted a negative review on their client without revealing too much personal info, but on general stuff like (B.O., weight, penis size, performance). That would make my day. I think that would make the poster/client rethink what he is about to post, it would certainly make them feel like shit.

YAWN...I'm off to sleep.

Toodles, everyone.

If SP does this kind of review, I bet she is definitely thinking of retiring.

Again, Stephanie, size does not matter, it matters how you use it and how much experience you are in terms of performance...as for me, those are not issues to me at all ;)

Really it's tit for tat. And besides, the client/poster is protected under a veil of anonymity. Who would know who the poster was unless all the rest of you knew the offending poster personally.
