My first though was "OMG Scott Weiland finally fatally OD'd?" I wasn't surprised to hear that a large amount of drugs was found near where his body was, only that it was cocaine. It is a vicious beast, addiction....
I'm aware... :S even years after, the damage is there. I just thought Weiland was a heroin addict. I guess he switched poisons.
I was devistated to hear this a few days ago.
He wasn't looking too good in his last interview.

Very true...Addiction is a symptom of an underlying psychiatric disorder in my opinion (& personal experience): people try to fill up the 'missing parts' of themselves with substances; the substance changes their neurobiology/cognitive abilities; they treat the symptoms....on and on and around it goes; for some people, the only ROCK BOTTOM is the bottom of the six foot hole their casket goes into. It doesn't make me sad; it makes me angry. Infuriated. INCANDESCENT, when I think of the lives ruined by addiction. There but for the grace...
I was at an STP concert at QE theater. Must have been 15 years ago.
It was great.....Scott said something like his 2 favourite things about Vancouver are the women and the heroin.
Then he told all the girls to take their tops off. Quite a few did.
They didn't play big bang baby......so that was upsetting.
