VRRB is newish, isn't it? Where have I been?
Well, now we know where Vancouverman is spending all his time...and Alexandria.
Loved the thread about people taking their nemesis's name and joining up. Sad really, but humourous in a pathetic sort of way. The rest of it took about 10 min to scan so no big loss.

Actually I checked it out and it seems VM and "A" own the board pretty much.
Was sorta wondering where VM and that "A" chick went. To much headache trying to keep active on two boards to do with pooning. Don't know why VM with 4000 posts would jump ship and head over there though.Massagegirl said:

PS "Asshat" is starting to grow on me, but you did notice there is already a huge asshat over there? Someone who was banned from here, couldn't even make up a new handle, and instead stole someone elses to carry an old grudge over there? And so far the mods have done nothing and don't even seem to care. IMHO, it seems like it might embolden other like-minded individuals to follow. I'm staying right here where it's safe!

As far as I'm aware, VRRB looks to be a non-profit board. Unlike the other two local boards, they don't charge the ladies to advertise.

Ultimately... does it really matter?
The posters to all the boards float freely from one to another.
The question is... why choose one over another?
I believe VRRB was started in response to various perberts being banned.
The objective being to have a board where anyone could post anything about anyone/thing they wanted.
Of course... they found that didn't work... and voila... someone was banned.
Making VRRB just like every other board.
As I have said before, what makes PERB a success is the fact that it has a variety of elements that keep the average Joe coming back. The lounge, for example, keeps interest up while there is a slow down in worthwhile reviews.
It also creates a cameraderie that boards, like doggie, lack.
VRRB currently struggles because it is new and because it doesn't offer anything substantially different from PERB (certainly it doesn't offer any guarentee you won't be banned if you are out of line with slanderous/libellous statements).
Without something compelling different to offer from PERB, I suspect it will languish for quite a while.
