The description of the 4-disc expanded edition of Two Towers also had me salivating.
Liv Tyler is definitely my favourite!
Yeah I've been looking forward to the extended version. They are adding in even more extra footage than they did with the Fellowship of the ring (An extra 43 mins versus 32 for FOTR). Liv was a good casting choice, she really suits the role of an elf.

I have been awaiting the release of The Return of the King since I saw The Two Towers. I just finished watching the trailer & it looks like the film will be well worth the wait. I'm just glad the wait is almost over.

yes, but the quality of the source material is completely independent of the junk the screenwriters can generate... AIGO: Anything In Garbage Out
Thing is, Peter Jackson and his crew have devoted a lot of love and care to the source material. Any changes to the story were made solely for cinematic reasons. I dread to think what this trilogy would have been like in the hands of a Hollywood hack like Michael Bay or Joel Shumacher (sp?).

Oh yeah, and I have heard about that Extended Edition triple bill. I read somewhere that Famous Players has about 60 theatres across Canada who plan to show this. If that number is accurate then you can bet on this happening in the major Canadian cities. I might consider attending, although for 3.5 hours + 3.5 hours + 3 hours, I fear for my poor ass muscles.
