Is anyone else getting these annoying pop ups everytime they log on to PERB? It's either some web girl inviting me to call her or some guy extolling the virtues of RVing or a page of "local" escorts. I have Norton anti virus and I use a pop up blocker. Any suggestions as to how to block these things would be greatly appreciated:mad:

I never have problems with PERB and popups....when using mozella it blocks anything that comes up, when using IE the shaw secure it blocks anything

However, what really pisses me off are the "free" hosting sites like *.tk that some SP's use that have pop-ups all over the fucking place. Annoys the ever loving fuck out of me! If I'm at a site its to find about the SP....its NOT to learn I'm the 1,000,000th visitor and I've just "won" a new laptop/ipod/etc, or if I click here I can find out how to have a bigger dick or larger breasts.

Run an anti-spyware program as well. I'm mentioned it before, but I'll do it again, run Spy-bothttp://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/.

As to what Gravitas said, I always wonder when a business uses a free web site to host their site. The last thing I'd want to do is aggravate a potential client with pop-ups/unders. For the amount an SP can make a month, I'd imagine the small price of paying a real hosting site would be a minimal percentage.

What the fuck is a popup?

Oh I remember. It was an annoying IE feature. I haven't seen too many univited windows since I switched to Firefox and
Adblock gets rid of the really annoying banners. Think of Adblock as sending the annoying ads to Perbatory. ;)
