I think some of the prices of sp's are getting ridiculous. I am looking to form a pooner's union. We need to go on strike, this will reduce the number of pooners in the marketplace, and hopefully bring down prices.

Anyone interested!

I'm not interested neither. The lower the price will become higher the risks for us pooners! The more accessible to everyone means we will have more chance to contract STD!

I just had too answer this Im from Van and have worked in a few studios there. I now live in Vic where the price is a lot lower than in Van consequently I have had a real hard time adjusting, With every new client I meet I am taking a chance. He might rob me, have a disease or beat me up. If you force the price to go lower the sp has too take twice as many chance just too make the same money as before, consequently she will wear herself out sooner. Quality over Quantity

I have a great idea that will be fair to everyone.

The SP can charge what ever they think is a fair price for their services. The pooners would pay what they think is a fair price for the service.

If an SP charged more than was a fair price her business would start to drop as the pooners would go else where.

If the pooners did not want to pay the going rate they would reduce the frequency of their visits and save longer to pay the market price.

This would be a self leveling system and would be fair to everyone.

I think I will call this the Law of Supply and Demand

I need to hire a patent lawyer.

Luckydog is right, at least as far as supply and demand goes.
As long as there are pooners willing to pay $$$ plus, some SPs will get that. Not from me I hope, but from those that can/will.
I am just not convinced that $$$ is more fun than $$. There are some great gals in the $.5 to $$.5 range.

Support your local $$ gals. That's all you can do.

Law of supply and demand in the Chain is Survival is on the mark.

Bottom line for any business is to make a profit and to establish a pricing strategy that is profitable while being competitive . . .

Am sure we have seen examples of popular ladies who have attempted to increase their profit margin - problem for them is that if they are too greedy, the phone stops ringing . . . .

If you are not seeing an SP because you cannot afford her, what difference will it make whether you are on strike or not? Your strike seems kind of redundant.

i've been reading this and laughing and i will say this.

you guys can talk supply and demand, safety and STD risk, throw out statistics until you're blue in the face no ladies are gonna drop there prices just because a buncha bargain basement, lowballers are bitching that the hourly rate for tapping ass is too high (before any of you get angry bear in mind that i'm a bargain basement lowballer as well)

i've been looking at ads on some websites and i'm seeing girls that are charging 300 to 500 dollars an hour for company. i know of two girls i would consider spending that much money on and unless your name is tera patrick or jenna jameson there aren't many others out there that could convince me change that opinion.

when i think about it you can't argue with supply and demand. we all know there are suckers out there who can shell out ridiculous amounts of money. the question that lies within is was it worth it? for 3-5 hundred an hour did said sucker get his money worth? did his world get rocked? and more importantly could he have had the same experience at a lower price somewhere else?

With all this being said I've lost sight of the fact, that the purpose of this board is to share information and experiences. the double edged sword on this is there are a lot of ladies who have been "affordable" who have gone into that higher bracket because of this board. i guess the truly resourceful pooner will always be able and on the lookout for that time and experience that won't leave him 3-5 hundred bucks lighter at the end. let's just hope he's kind hearted and generous enough to share that with the rest of us.

As we all agree here supply and demand. If a sp dares to charge $$$,she must be in demanded!

Last week one of my favourite Sps ,who also charges $$$ an hour, was totally booked for four days and took another week off. A wealthy client of her took her to New york paid her $3000 a day plus expense . Do you think she has to lower her price to put you in? Forget it!

If you want to have fun, work harder and save up more money for the hobby!

This is a frequent discussion on the Winnipeg board; it's nice to see intelligent posts here on the subject and great to see people in this forum who understand the concepts of supply and demand. I think it's time for me to move to B.C. and away from "wholesale city" lol.

For me personally, it's always been quality over quantity, so I'm happy to pay a higher rate for a great time. Having said that, I can certainly understand the frustration of paying top-dollar for a mediocre session. That's why a review board like this is so great; people can weed out the ripoff artists from the top talent. But I think clients also have to respect that top talent have the right to charge above-average prices for above-average services.

Just my 2 cents.

Don't forget, there are a lot of hobbyists who don't know about this board who will continue to see ladies. Even a strike by everybody on this board would probably only be a drop in the bucket of available hobbyists.

GST and income tax

Grendleaxe said:
So how about a "luxury tax" of 15% added on to every dollar over $250/hr spent on an SP? The "rich" pooners will pay it, the government will then use it to help those "less fortunate" pooners. Of course you will have to fill out the proper forms and go to a government approved SP... want to make sure you aren't squandering the taxpayer’s money you know! LOL
Grendleaxe, you bring up a very interesting thought. How many SPs collect the GST and remit this to the federal government?

How many SPs pay federal and provincial income tax on their earnings?

If you do not I would be very interested to understand why not?

I feel like I farted in Church, I will start a new thread on the tax question.

BB - there is no amount that is too low and there is no amount that is too high.

Each SP has a figure that is their bottom line and they won't go below.

Each pooner also has their top line and they won't go above.

The difference between those two numbers is how the pooners and the SPs decide who they will and will not see.

For me 250 is where I top out. So that cuts out a number of ladies. I do not have a problem with Sps who charge more than that it is just not coming from me
