I’m a wannabe cook and came up with this killer recipe. Check it out and I’m sure you’ll dig it!
Ingredients: (decide on serving size and eyeball the vegetable extras – you can’t really botch this)
-Uncle Ben’s Natural Select Flavoured Rice (Chicken & Herb, Garlic & Butter, Parmesan & Butter, Spanish Rice, Tomato & Basil, Roasted Chicken & Wild Rice)
-Flavoured Broth (to replace water) (Beef, Chicken, Vegetable, Onion) (I like Knorr for best flavour)
-Flavoured Oil (to replace butter) (Borges - garlic olive oil - Safeway)
-Worchesterchire – 1 tbsp
-Green Pepper – Finely minced
-Red Pepper – Finely minced
-Onion – (red/white) – Finely minced
-Garlic – minced (choose how many cloves you like)
-Black Pepper (choose how much)
-Cayenne Pepper (choose how much)
-Roasted Garlic – Granulated (McCormick) (choose how much)
-Cashews (choose how much)
Optional additives:
-Celery – finely minced
-Ginger – finely grated
-Hot Sauce – 1 tbsp of your favorite
-Pineapple tidbits – (choose how much)
Recipe:
-Prep all vegetables
-Mix all the liquid and dry ingredients, and all vegetables (leave cashews/pineapple out) into the fry pan and bring to a boil. STIR. Follow package instructions for cooking.
-After cooking for designated time, turn off heat, add cashews/pineapple, replace lid and simmer for 5 minutes. Note: due to the moisture content of the vegetable and additional liquid additives, further simmering may be required to reduce total moisture content. Once visual desired consistency is attained, remove from heat, let stand for 5 minutes, and then ram it down your cakehole!
A great sidedish or a meal unto itself. You can always toss in cooked chicken at the time of the cashews if desired.
