I'm Impressed!

Well I'm back from vacation and trying to keep my only once a day on PERB resolution. I just wanted to say a few things that have been going through my mind...

I'm genuinely impressed with PERB, I mean with the people on here both male and female. OK yeah there are jerks of both sexes but in general I'm impressed.

Anyone who has been following any of my posts on PERB should have realized I was using this board as cheap therapy, and almost to my amazment it helped..

I posted a few personal things over the months that could have been open to attack and all I got was honest responses (OK and a few good jokes)!

I've seen people rally around what was percieved as wrongdoing to a member, both male and female. I seen people express concern for the welfare of others and offer support in times of trouble... bravo....

I've met some good people here, some fun, sexy and beautiful women. Some good guys, all in all a decent community.

So the goal should be to keep things that way (at least that what I want), Keep the conversations civil and interesting, keep the reviews ACCURATE and honest, keep the community growing. Oh and have fun...

I beleive that Dolphin refers to a group of pilings driven into the ocean/river/lake bed. These usually support a warf or dock. So, he is likely referring in an oblique fashion to his location, and that being on some form of boat.

The logo on the business card for the dolphin club is from the "Dolphins" the US submariners wear. These are qualified for by strenuous testing of the subs construction, like walking thru blindfold and telling what every valve does that your told to put your hands on. The final "test" is when you go to the EM or officers club and "earn" the dolphins. The dolphins are dropped into the biggest glass or, in my case drink blender, and filled with every kind of alcohol the bartender has. Then, you have to drink it and catch the dolphins in your teeth- all with out taking a breath, or do it all over again. When you wake up- a couple of days later, you then can join the "qualified sub crew"
The motto of the submariner is "We go down for a price" The Navy pays a little extra to someone crazy enough to do this.

Hi folks

Just been reading this thread...lot's of nice chat. Like Oberon said at the top, there's some interesting thought on this board. If I can join in a l'il bit....I think one of the neatest things about the 'Dolphin' is that it's the ensignia for submariners in the US Navy, if I'm not mistaken....forget the politics...those are pretty amazing folks...serious cajones.
Just one of the pieces of useless trivia floating around in the recesses of my mind.
