I love the people. We accept anyone as our own, regardless of race, color, religion. We have amazing health care. (Bitch all you want, but you will never be refused an ambulance because you don't have insurance). I can say what I want. We are respected around the worldl. (Unlike the Americans). We have the best hockey on the planet. We take care of our homeless (to the best of our ability). No one in Canada owns a handgun. We will stop on the street and help a stranger in any way we can (without fear of being shot!). We will welcome anyone, in any way, and help them to the best of our ability. In short, we are just being human. Unlike some other countries!!!!

The only difference i can see between our cultures is that we seem to think we're superior...sorta like the whole Kerry/Bush divide and look what ultimately happened to K.

Not because we have amazing health care, which we dont. I hope there is an ambulence, bed available and doctors & nurses that are not on strike.(never heard of doctors or nurses going on strike in the us)Not because we are respected around the world, which we are not. Around the world we may be the most liked people, which is far more useful for the average Canadian. We have the best hockey players in the world no one can come close to that one.( the most overpaid athletes to)Homeless....we do more for other countries than our own. Its legal to buy and own and shoot handguns in Canada, and has its own succsessful gun regulations since the 1940's(its a canadian fact) Fear of being shot? There have been two all out gun battles on calgary streets in the last five weeks, one where an inocent bystander was shot and killed.
I am Canadian no matter what, and I know that it IS Great country for now. But many things could be vastly improved, and if people love this country and make it better it will stay great!

I've live in both places. I am a dual citizen. Both countries have their pros and cons. I can live anywhere I please, and I CHOOSE to live here in CANADA!
Don't get me wrong the US is great, I lived in Miami Beach for over a year, and I miss the wheather and the bikinis, but when it comes down to choosing a life for family, confort, healthcare, and so on, I will always choose Canada.
I love this country and will do so forever. This country gave opportunities I couldn't even dream about in the US.
