Human Trafficking Penalty = Murder

Crime Stoppers was on this morning on Global. I missed the beginning but caught enough to figure out that they were talking about illegal brothels/micros staffed by people who really didn't sign up for that line of work.

The penalty for those convicted is on par with a murder charge.


Just thought I'd toss it out here for discussion.

Pfffft, most times a murder charge in Canada keeps gives you a sentence of 10 years or less, giving you maybe 7 years behind bars after sentencing due to time served.

I think that if the girl isn't in this industry by choice, then it's a good option.

The point wasn't meant to be a discussion on the validity of murder sentences but to give our micro fans that there is a possible risk of being involved in a bust.

Back to the PSA the very beginning they mentioned 'not in a slum area' and they showed a nondescript but nice looking apartment building to make the point.

Good, The people that are involved in it are real scumbags, not even fit for bottom of my shoe. Real dangerous people that are evil right from the core of their being are involved in that kind of set-up. Have you ever seen the movie human trafficking? (I'm not talking about the pooners)
