I went to a site called `www.tastyasian.com' and I unwittenly downloaded a `porn access submit application file'.

What I did was click on a free movie icon, thinking I was saving a mpg to my hard drive, instead I saved a file called `Free_Sex_Download', and in a greyed out area beneath the files name was `Content Access Plugin'.

When you click on this file, you don't see a movie, but are instead driected to a pay porn site that has dialer capablities. So I dont't know if this file is self launching in the dead of the night or not.

I can't seem to delet this file, I have tried using spybot, and some regvac programs. I used to know a little DOS, so using the command prompt is an option, but not a freindly one.

Can any or you perberts help me?

I mean tastyasian.com is a nice site but it has its down side. This little piece of free asian pussy has certainly caused me a headache, I think I need a massage to relieve the stress.

thank you

What about "ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS" thats what i use when i want to delete these unwanted programs. I think the next step is Registry Edit. That can be a scary place if you don't know what your doing.

I like how you provided a link to the very same site you want to eliminate from your hard drive. LMAO --- Kev

I'd do a SEARCH, using a specific part of the file name (pic something that you would figure would appear in a number of files) and try to get a list of ALL the files it DL'd to your comp (prolly more than 1).

Then highlight & delete all of them from the windows search screen.

If they have done something funky to prevent that, you will need to delete the file/any associated directory created/DL'd from the web dialer or whatever.

I had some problems with some auto install web dialers (auto installed on web page open... bastards!). That's what I had to do.

goto add/remove and remove from there if possible. Try the system restore as well. Did you say you used spybot and addaware??

Remove utilities...

If they make a version for Windows platforms (I work on a Mac), Aladdin Software has a program called "Spring Cleaning" which should take care of it. Also included is a nice little utility called "iClean" - at least in the Mac version - which deletes all cookies, files in disk cache, and history files. That way the barracuda can't find out where you've been, but I doubt it would defeat a professional from finding stuff you'ld rather they didn't in searching your hard drive.

Somewhere Out There
I would look at their website - look under some link like "info", "customer service" or something obscure. Often there is a link to a program to remove this thing. This has happened to me before.

Another option - do a google search and see if there if any info out there.

On XP, a system restore may work too. Go to My Computer, right click, go to properties, then the system restore tab, check off TURN OFF SYSTEM RESTORE, then reboot. Afterwards, be sure to uncheck the TURN OFF SYSTEM RESTORE box to reactivate this feature.

I would fiddle with the registry only as an absolute last resort.

BTW I assume you did a reboot to see if that also would get rid of it. Sometimes a simple thing like that works too.

Never fiddle with Registry Edit "unless you know what your doing."

Downloaded program files can borrow other files from other programs.........delete the files you think are unwanted.........delete the files from programs that are wanted. --- Kev

I removed the file

What happened, I think, is that exploerer did not properly close down. The message that accompanied the delete attempt was a message that my hard drive was write proctected or the program was still in use. So even after a couple of reboots explorer was still hung up. After a night of non use I attempted a simple delete on the file and it deleted no problem. The strange thing about this file is that part of the name was greyed out and couldn't be changed.

As for using registry edit. I did a quick search of HK machine and Hk software areas and realized it was beyound my capablilities, with out computer assistance.

Thanks for all the help of you perberts.

PS. going to the site was not dangerous and it has a lot of nice porn, just don't save any of it.:)
