They must validate themselves by vilifying the "other"

Particularly idiotic when you consider that any rational, educated and informed person - Christian or Atheist understand that the central tenet of Christianity is love, forgiveness and that it is not your place to judge.

So, one religious nutcake from one small church is homophobic, not the majority of citizens of Calgary.

There are a whole lot of Churches that justify the position that there should not be a tax break for Churches. Not the "vow of personal poverty" that pastors and priests get, not the charitable tax deduction and not the deferral of property taxes. Churches should be taxed like the shady businesses that they are.

Your right....I own a tract of land big enough to incorporate a legal township.
I of course have Farm Status so my taxes are not too bad...But I looked into some tax breaks for my property.
If I built a Chapel or Church here, and walked through the doors once a week ,and sat down..The property tax would go down by thousands.
I wonder if a vertical brass pole, with a little round stage over in one corner, would be considered a religous item?

This is the real reason that Mormon men have so many wives. Women wear the underwear after they have gone to Temple. So, after that sex is a planned event once she's wearing Temple Garments. Only to be for procreation. MUCH easier to get a new young wife and try to delay her going to Temple as long as possible.
