 Ok I have a problem. When I first moved to Vancouver I worked at an outcall agency called Vancouver Elite. I was there for about 2 months. I quit & told them to remove my pic's from all sites they have them on. This was in JUNE. But they won't remove them. I've called & emailed & they said they would remove them but it's December & they're still on at least 5 different sites. (With their phone # & email address under the name Robyn.) I've email some of the sites asking them to remove them but nothing so far. Does anyone know what I can do? How do I make them take them down? A Lawyer? Any idea's? I never showed them I.D or signed anything with them. They do not have my consent! (obviously)

I wish I could help you with this, and I'm sure someone here will know what you can do. I think though, that if you didn't sign a release form for those pictures, giving them the right to put them on their website, you might have some kind of case. My only suggestion would be to consult a lawyer about this, as you already mentioned, hopefully there is something that can be done. I sure hope this works out for you.

I think better check with a lawyer...this is what i think: you can sue them by saying they are using your pic without your permission and you have lost $ because of that. good luck!!!!

If the lawyer is fair s/he* will only charge you $100--$150. Ask what they will charge for the letter before you leave the initial session.
All around sound advice. But I bet the price of the letter is more like ten times as much! If you think Swedish Touch has high rates for little service - try a medium to large size law firm!

Hah hah...

You guys are too funny...

I agree reddog, if they are intigued by the situation, a lawyer just might give a client a break, after all (jeez it pains me to say this) they are human!

Copyright

Copyright the pictures, it costs $50 each at the Canadian Intellectual property office and then bill them huge for using the pics. If thay don't comply then sue the bastards. PM me and I,ll hook you up with the web link.

If you didn't sign a thing, you would think they can't keep on using you photo's. Call a lawyer to get advice. You might want to check if there is a place you can contact who may give you some free advice first.

If this is the way Vancouver Elite runs the biz, I will never spend a flippin F#@*#! penny using their service. Hey, lets hit Vancouver Elite where it hurts $$$$. Lets boycott them until Lisa's photos are remove perbs! Boycott! Boycott! Boycott!

Before you get into expensive legal issues

Try sending an e-mail to the website host. Most hosts do not want the hassle and will either pull the website or contact the person to whom the website is registered. Go that route first to save some $$$.

ok, one more lawyer joke, this one has good significance to this board.

what is the difference between a lawyer and a Service Provider?

the Service Provider will stop screwing you when you are dead.
