hey can anyone help me out with the best way to stay warm

while in your frigid city??
What's frigid about it?
Dress right for the weather and you'll have no problem. if you are not use to the weather in southern Manitoba then you best buy the following things:
A pair of longjohns
A toque
A pair of wool socks
A pair of mitts (gloves are an all to common mistake)
A pair of snowboots (rated for atleast -40C)
A parka
And if you like a pair of skipants.
Above all dress in layers. That's because people in this weather get cold because they put on too much and begin to sweat. You never want to start sweating in any cold weather.
If you have a vehicle then get yourself a set of jumper cables, as you never known when you will need them to boost your own vehicle or that of some one looking for a boost.
Also have a good towline. One of those yellow ones available for sale at most gas stations are pretty good. A rope is a huge mistake as there isn't much give. You want something with some give to it incase your vehicle or some one else's needs to be jerked out.
Put some weight in the back of your vehicle. Some bags of kitty litter or sandbags for example. The added weight will provide some more traction, if you have rear wheel drive.
Oh yes, if you have a car have some one show you the best place to hook a tow line to it. Many cars nowadays really don't have a good place, especially in the front. A mechanic can show you some alternatives.
And with all that said, the #1 thing is be friendly. Some one asks you for help in this cold weather, help them in some way. If their vehicle is stuck, help them with a push or a tow or help them find some one who can. If they need a boost, you got the jumper cables, then help them. And if they offer you money for your help then refuse it as there might be a day you'll need help.
